V-MODA is introducing a personalization program for their Crossfade LP over-ear headphones, for those who like to put their own mark on their gear. With Crossfade Customs, users can now choose their headphone color, metal plate color, and an engraved design with an 8-character message.

Think of all of the messages you could have with 8 characters. As Chip Chick points out, this is a great way for DJs to advertise during a gig. Great way to just rock your own style too. The design is already pretty cool.

Void LP PlayerThis may be the coolest record player concept ever. The Void LP Player concept from Rhea Jeong consists of a magnetic levitating disc carrier plus a small self contained player in a ball with an integrated needle, amplifier and speaker all wrapped up in one. Truly a space age record player.

The record player uses a carrier and dock with a magnetic and auto-calibrating control system that holds the LP in thin air as it is playing. The record player in the form of a red sphere, contains a needle, amplifier and speaker and spins around the record.

Seagate intros low-power Barracuda LP hard drivesSeagate just-announced its Barracuda LP series, which cuts down the power consumption without sacrificing very much in performance. According to Seagate, the drives will use up to 50% less electricity than typical hard drives, while giving you a speed of 5,900 RPM and an average latency of 5.5ms, and a 32MB cache.

We don’t have anything on price yet, but apparently they come in 1TB, 1.5TB, and 2TB sizes (all 3.5-inch).
