Rare Space Invaders watch from JapanLook what our friend Technabob found. Limited Edition Space Invaders LED watches that came out a few years back in Japan. Until now, you couldn’t find them from here. Look at that watch face, full of retro awesomeness. The watch will cost you $207, but any true geek is already getting their credit card ready.

The watch features a red dot-matrix display showing you the current time. Press the button and the “Space Invaders” scroll across the display, then a giant animated invader dances across. Then “Game Over”. You can’t actually play the game, but it’s still, an awesome watch.

Limited Edition Wall-E Roomba really sucks

Limited Edition Wall-E Roomba really sucksWhen you think about what a limited edition Wall-E Roomba should be, you probably picture a Roomba with those cute Wall-E eyes attached, Wall-E’s squar-ish body. Maybe add some voice effects. How awesome would it be to have a Wall-E Roomba?

Turns out, not very awesome at all. It’s being sold in Japan and it amounts to no more then a crappy sticker attached on top. For the price of $850. That’s $550 more then what a standard 530 costs here in the U.S. For shame Roomba. For shame.

WETA Steampunk Raygun gives us a nerd-gasmYou need only two qualifications to own this nerd-gasmic Raygun. A love of Steampunk and some serious money to burn. The WETA Steampunk Raygun will cost you around $6,000. Dr Grordbort’s Rayguns are a line of 1:1 scale antique styled, limited edition(only 50 units), sci-fi hand weapon props. Above you can see “The Unnatural Selector”.

I’m not one to have weapons on display, but I’d proudly display this geektastic piece of eye-cady. See, this is what WETA is doing when they aren’t making big screen magic in Lord of the Rings. It’s made from metal, glass and rare Venusian Worm Oak. This my friends is some serious Steampunk. No really, this kicks the ass of every other Steampunk thing.

Midnight Mexico Minigod speakers

Posted in Speakers by Conner Flynn on October 5th, 2008

Midnight Mexico Minigod speakersWe told you about the Minigod speakers awhile back. They’re an excellent way to worship sound and should you have a spare virgin or two lying about, they will gladly accept sacrifices. Not that you can actually find a virgin. More likely you’ll have to get yourself a small volcano to complete the theme. Marka27 is back with some new Minigod speakers. A limited edition of the Midnight Mexico Minigod speaker.

These are 2 inches taller then the originals at 17 inches tall. The MG2 will cost you $119.95 and even comes with a bonus mix CD by DJ Plan B. Your Minigod even sports an external AC adapter port so you can play music without batteries. They come in a limited edition of only 200, so get ‘em fast.

Limited edition cat motorcycle purrs, loudly

Posted in Automotive by Conner Flynn on October 3rd, 2008

Limited edition cat motorcycle purrs, loudlyThere’s not a ton of information on this cat-themed motorcycle, but we can tell you that it’s powered by a 1200cc Buell 97 S3 Thunderbolt engine. We also believe it’s supposed to be a Jaguar, the cat body being fiberglass finished in ultra-high-gloss ebony polyurethane lacquer. The air intakes and exhaust system of course had to be custom-engineered to go along with the cat body.

They will definitely see you coming on this bike. That is, if you have any money left for gas after shelling out almost $600,000. It would be a perfect bike for say, Catwoman in the next Dark Knight movie.

Hello Kitty Roomba

Posted in Roomba by Conner Flynn on September 17th, 2008

Hello Kitty RoombaFor those who hate Hello Kitty, you’ll be happy to know that she has lost her DJ gig and now has a janitorial position cleaning the filth off your floors. Why in the hell we need yet another Hello Kitty item is beyond me, but if we must, at least she can get her paws dirty.

iRobot and Sanrio must have had a few drinks and a bright idea about how to open up to a new demographic. We can be thankful of two things: Only 500 units are made and it’s only available in Japan. It will cost roughly $810. Sadly, too expensive to buy on impulse and let it play in the road.
