Western Digital 500GB My Passport Essential limited edition designs

Western Digital’s 500GB My Passport Essential will now come in limited edition designs thanks to students at California State University, Long Beach’s Industrial Design program. The drives will come in Boom Box, Black Hole, Cityscape, Fuchsia Leaf and Wave decorative patterns.

Obviously these are targeted at students who want some extra style. The new drives are compatible with Windows and feature WD SmartWare software that offers a visual method for performing backups of your data via a single-screen view of the contents. There’s also user-selected password protection combined with 256-bit hardware-based encryption.

Mimoco Limited Edition Lobot and Monster Molly flash drives

Mimoco, makers of cute Star Wars flash drives, are now back with their latest creations. The Mimoco Lobot and Monster Molly flash drives. Both flash drives deliver up to 16GB of storage.

The company plans to introduce the Lobot flash drive at the International Comic Con in San Diego, while the Monster Molly flash drive will appear at a convention in Taiwan Taipei. Both the Mimoco Lobot and Monster Molly flash drives will be available in just 1000 and 500 units.

MSI Limited Edition Dodgers MLB Computers

LA Dodgers fans can now get their favorite team branded on their computer. MSI and the Dodgers have teamed up to announce these exclusive Dodgers computers.

These machines will feature the Dodgers logo and digital Dodgers content. They include the limited edition MSI Wind Top AE2220 and the Wind U135DX netbook. The Wind Top features a Core 2 Duo T6600 CPU, NVIDIA Ion graphics, a 21.5-inch screen, and 4GB of RAM.

The special edition device is expected to land in the pockets of those with plenty of disposable income, where it will be powered by a Snapdragon processor and equipped with a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, Wi-Fi and GPS.

TomTom has pimped out a new version of the Ease for Valentine’s Day. Meaning that it has gotten a makeover in red and comes with the rest of the specs that you expect, including a 3.5 inch QVGA display, 2GB internal memory, Tele-Atlas maps, Map Share, integrated battery and a Fold & Go mounting mechanism.

Being red and not pink, we can’t decide if this is just aimed at women or also men who like red. Whatever the case, if that special someone in your life needs one, you may as well get it in red.

Leica MP Golden Camera Limited Edition

2009 marked the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and so Leica has a little gift to commemorate the event. The MP Golden Camera Limited Edition. The camera comes with a Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 Gold lens.

In fact both the camera and lens are coated in 24k gold, and the body is dressed in Leica Red Box calf leather. Only 60 of these will be available, so if you want one you better hurry.

The Beatles' Catalog on Limited Edition USB StickApple Corps and EMI are finally offering up a legal way to grab digital Beatles tracks. The Apple-shaped stick you see above has FLAC and MP3 versions of the new CD set, which includes all the band’s music re-mastered in stereo.

FLAC quality is 44.1Khz 24 bit, and MP3 is 320 Kbps. Only 30,000 of these USB Sticks will be made, so you better grab one on November 8 when they go on sale for $280 (You can pre-order). The stick costs $60 more than the CD set, but you get “all of the re-mastered CDs’ visual elements, including 13 mini-documentary films about the studio albums, replicated original UK album art, rare photos and expanded liner notes.”

Pentax K-x gets Robotic ColorsSure this looks like a toy, but we didn’t just get this camera out of our kids toybox. It’s a fully-functional dSLR. A limited edition Pentax K-x done up in the colors of Japan’s Kore Ja Nai robot. Only 100 Robotic Colors K-x units will be released in Japan starting this November.

They will be sold exclusively through Pentax’s online store for $880. Wow. Toy looks, tech price. Just be careful that your preschooler doesn’t get his/her hands on this.

Mariah Carey and iRiver to release Limited Edition N20iRiver is rolling out the N20 Mariah Carey edition which will come preloaded with 17 tracks from her latest album called Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. We have no idea how the N20 will be controlled and if it uses the usual 3.5mm headphone jack.

Some say it’s controlled by a touch interface, some say there are buttons on the back. Maybe the controls are on a touchscreen that looks like a scantily clad Mariah, so geeks can feel her up and play tunes. We just don’t know.
