LG L-03C is a true camera phone

Posted in Cameras by Conner Flynn on November 8th, 2010

We’ve had cameras in our phones forever now. We typically call them camera phones. Really they are phones with a camera inside. The phone is the priority, hence the crappy pictures that camera phones take. Well, LG has unveiled a new device that is a true camera phone. The device not only has a 12.1MP image sensor, but it also looks more like a camera than a phone.

It also features an ISO range of up to 3200 and has a Pentax 1:3.6-5.5 lens with 3x optical zoom. The LG L-03C can also record 720p HD video and has GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G. If you want a decent camera with a phone, this would be it.

LG announces the C320 Lady, for the ladies

Posted in LG by Conner Flynn on November 5th, 2010

The LG C320 is aimed at the fairer sex, with a feminine design and colors to match. It sports a QWERTY keyboard that slides out, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, an integrated MP3 player, FM radio, and a microSD expansion slot.

Then there’s the pre-installed social stuff, like Facebook and Twitter. It’s just a basic phone designed to look cute. The price and availability of the LG C320 Lady is unknown. Why do they call them the fairer sex anyway? It’s hardly fair that she expects me to turn my PS3 off and spend time with her, instead of earning new weapons in Call Of Duty.

The 8.9-inch LG Pad should arrive in the first quarter of 2011, featuring a dual-core Tegra 2 chip inside. The release window is for both domestic and overseas markets. We are intrigued by this one and can’t wait to get more details.

It must have one, but we don’t see a peripheral port in the pic. We are expecting a CES 2011 debut, but who knows, we might learn more before then. It looks pretty sexy at any rate.

LG puts tablet plans on hold, will wait for next Android version

Posted in LG by Conner Flynn on October 4th, 2010

We have heard that Android 2.2 isn’t well suited for tablet devices and apparently LG feels the same way as we now hear that an unnamed LG official has claimed that the company will not be producing an Android 2.2 tablet.

They want the best version of Android for their tablet and apparently that isn’t Froyo. It matches what we’ve heard about Motorola planning to release its Android-powered tablet with Android 3.0 as well. When LG does release their tablets, they will perform better for having waited.
