LG GW880 Android phone leaked |
Seems like China is the land of Android lately. And here’s the LG GW880, the company’s first Android phone. To clarify, in this case “Android” means China Mobile’s custom WiFi-less OPhone platform, so we won’t be seeing this one outside of China.
It gives you a good idea of what LG’s handset designers have in mind for Android sets though. This one sports the following specs: A stunning 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, 256MB RAM, GPS, and a five megapixel camera.

LG’s latest Chocolate handset,
LG has released the LG-LV7500 2G clamshell phone in the Korean market. This one is also known as the ‘Whistle’ phone. It features 115 LED lights on the front panel so that users can create their own emoticon designs. It must be aimed at tweens.
The folks at the FCC have just approved the latest Windows Mobile 6.1-powered smartphone from LG, the LG GW600. The new phone will come with Video Share, a half-QWERTY keyboard, a touchscreen display for easy navigation and a stylus.
If you’re looking for an affordable slider, you may want to check out the newly launched LX290 from LG. You can get this handset via Sprint for just $29.99 with a 2-year contract agreement (after a $50 mail-in rebate).
Here’s a very legit looking promo video for the company’s new Chocolate. It looks pretty awesome. Apparently the rumored 21:9 800 x 345 display is real. There’s also a nice Flash-based 3D UI, multitouch, AGPS, WiFi, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, and a scratch-proof glass screen.
LG has finally announced that its first 3D LCD, the 47-inch 47LH50, will be available for purchase next month. Don’t get too excited. It’s headed to Korea. The new TV is based on the 47LH50, so shares its model number, and is functionally identical.
LG just released its latest full HD 3D LCD display. We’re talking 23″ of 3D right in your living room, along with double the brightness of a standard 3D LCD display. This allows LG to claim that they are the first in the world. Not that they like to brag or anything.
LG has released the world’s first DivX HD 1080p certified player, the BD390. The player debuted at CES earlier this year and is now making its way out to consumers. It features an 802.11n Wi-Fi module and support for DivX streaming from a DLNA server.
Looks like LG will be releasing a new 12-megapixel cell phone later in the year. Take it with a grain of salt, but it could very well happen. 12-megapixels will likely replace the new 8-megapixel camera phones that are all over the market.
