Undercover Laptop Sleeve

Undercover Laptop SleeveThe Undercover Laptop Sleeve is a padded laptop sleeve that helps protect your laptop from damage, while it also protects it from theft. The padded sleeve will prevent your laptop computer from getting banged up and scratched, but what’s awesome is that the outside of the sleeve is made to look like an old used padded envelope.

So people will think you have useless paperwork or something else inside. Thieves will pass it by, never knowing that they missed out on a laptop. You can even write on the envelope to make it more realistic.

DIY PSP laptop mod

DIY PSP laptopSure, the PSP Go! looks awesome. It’s slimmer, lighter, has downloads instead of UMD. But where’s the full QWERTY keyboard? Acidmods forum member folklord36’s PSP Laptop does have QWERTY, thanks to an Xbox Chat Pad. It also has relocated speakers, LED lighting and more.

The screen section is a modified Joytech visor that has the same finish as the PSP, and its sturdy hinge can be positioned at anything up to 180-degrees. We don’t know how long it took him to create this or how much it cost, but we wouldn’t mind having one ourselves.

Posted in HP by Conner Flynn on May 14th, 2009

70,000 HP laptop batteries recalledFor awhile there batteries were getting recalled fairly often, but now it’s been quite awhile since we’ve seen a major recall involving laptop batteries. Sadly, its back in the news. Today, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Hewlett-Packard, has issued a voluntary recall of about 70,000 Li-ion batteries.

Apparently, these cells can “overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers,”. Thus far, the firm and CPSC have received two separate reports of batteries overheating and rupturing. The result is “flames/fire that caused minor property damage.”

Ultraslim laptop backpack

Ultraslim laptop backpackIt’s like a bullet-proof vest for your back. Only not bullet-proof. No, this won’t cause anyone any concern. You just look like you are part of some covert op and wearing your gear. I’m sure it won’t raise any eyebrows at the airport or the bank.

On the plus side it goes with anything you might care to wear. Hell, why not let your spine handle the load? Especially if you have an old clunker of a laptop that has caused you some arm injuries. It has 3 compartments. One for your Laptop, one for accessories and a pocket.
