Pentax offers exotic K-x colors in the US

Pentax often offers multicolored DSLR cameras, but they’re usually available outside of the US. But now Pentax is offering several new colors for its K-x DSLR camera.

The camera is currently available in black or red, but will soon be joined by green, blue, orange and purple. The camera will cost you $650, and specifications will be exactly the same no matter what the color. Some of those specs include a 12-megapixel CMOS sensor, 720p video recording and 4.7FPS burst shots.

Add another pink gadget to those already unleashed upon the world. At least this one isn’t branded with a Hello Kitty face, or even the word Barbie. Apparently Pentax would like to remind you that you can use its custom color shop in honor of this special day for lovers, to create a pink K-x DSLR.

So the company has rolled one out to go with the red, white, black and navy blue versions. It will cost you about $770 and will match your pink handbag which has a tiny pink dog in it.

Pentax K-x gets Robotic ColorsSure this looks like a toy, but we didn’t just get this camera out of our kids toybox. It’s a fully-functional dSLR. A limited edition Pentax K-x done up in the colors of Japan’s Kore Ja Nai robot. Only 100 Robotic Colors K-x units will be released in Japan starting this November.

They will be sold exclusively through Pentax’s online store for $880. Wow. Toy looks, tech price. Just be careful that your preschooler doesn’t get his/her hands on this.
