JBL has announced that it is now shipping the OnBeat speakers for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod. The OnBeat is an attractive dock that will hold your iPad, iPhone, or iPod and features dock rotation when holding an iPod or iPhone, side-mounted volume buttons, dual Phoenix full-range transducers, DSP equalization, charging, USB syncing, a 3.5mm auxiliary input, composite video output, and a remote control.

Some folks like quirky things. These folks eschew the average and normal in favor of something that is different and cool. Personally, I just like things that are cool and the JBL Creature II speakers I used to own were certainly cool. JBL announced its new Creature III speakers today.
There are so many headphones and earphones on the market that you can find a set in just about any color or style that you want. Most of them work well and sound better than the stock headphones that ship with your iPod or iPhone.
I remember trying to get my wife to agree to let me put 5.1 surround sound in our living room when we bought our first house.
