iJector projects 50 Inches of iPod, iPhone video |
The iJector arrives next month, capable of projecting videos at a decent brightness up to diagonal sizes of 50 inches. It will also play back amplified stereo audio, and even features a “made for iPod” device certification. It will work with just about any video-enabled iProduct. We aren’t positive whether that includes the iPhone 3GS or not.
Here’s the punchline. That 50 inches of projected imagery will have a low 557×234 resolution, and will cost around $670 when it ships in Japan next month. So we aren’t sure why you should bother.

I have never been one to have a hard time getting up in the morning. My alarm goes off to music and I am up and about my day. My wife on the other hand could sleep through a tornado and never wake up. Her alarm usually wakes me up and then I have to shake her awake to get her to turn it off.
You ask us, this is a pretty cool use of Legos. And if companies don’t want to build robot iPod docks, then damnit, we will make our own. The creator actually built this bot-dock about 2 years ago, and only recently decided that it was time to share it with the internet.
Aibelive has introduced the AITALK voice controller for the iPod. The device supports multi-language and allows users to activate or change music tracks using their own voice.
Hmmm. This phone looks familiar. Like a combination, iPod, pill, slider in Wii white. I think they may be trying to sucker me on because they know that I love the iPod, pill, slider triple threat. It’s called the Jin Peng F210 Pocket Phone, a basic phone with your typical iPod clickwheel as navigation keys and a 1.3-megapixel camera behind located at the side just like the iPhone.
If you’ve been paying attention, the latest iPod Shuffle doesn’t have any buttons on it, the controls are in the headphones, which is fine if you want to listen to it via the headphones, but what about when you want to listen to it in your car or an iPod dock? Never fear Shuffle owners, Scosche has the answer with the Scosche tapStick iPod Shuffle case.
Here’s a cool concept for your bathroom mirror! Pretty girl not included. The Maitre mirror from Stocco of Italy comes with a touch screen console that includes a built in radio, clock and barometer, hell, even a mirror demister with a sensor.
Eli Harari, CEO of Sandisk, recently admitted what has become very obvious. That Apple rules them all when it comes to the portable media player market. Everyone else is just trying to keep up. In a recent Fortune interview Harari admits that “you can’t out-iPod the iPod.”
We’ve seen plenty of casemods, but the NES will always give us a warm tingly feeling. The nesPod is the work of flickr user recycledgamer. It’s a gutted NES controller and an iPod mini from around 2004-2005. The back has been cut out for the screen and clickwheel.
When you design phones while on crack, there are bound to be some bad results. The iPod Water phone, despite it’s name, isn’t waterproof and it doesn’t even look like an iPhone. These knock-off companies are really slipping lately. I’m very disappointed. I thought the idea was to make your thing look like the other more desirable thing.
GEAR4 has announced the ChargeDock. They describe it as a “great looking and superbly functional home docking station for iPod and iPhone”. Isn’t that what all docking stations should aspire to be? When you toot your own horn like that, it makes us not that into you. Just fyi.
There are lots of iPod accessories on the market today and the bulk of them may work with the iPod, but they are not iPhone compatible. That means when you plug them in you get that message on your iPhone screen saying you can’t make calls.
Today Alpine announced the launch of its first 2-DIN ScrollView touch control Digital Media Station, the Alpine iXA-W404R 2-DIN iPod Digital Media Station. The Alpine iXA-W404R is an iPod controller that offers the choice of control by using either the double-action rotary button or the 4.3-inch QVGA color touch-screen.
Above is a possible snapshot of what the iPod nano 5G will look like, featuring a widened 1.5:1 aspect ratio while still keeping the Click Wheel from prior nano model, which sadly means no touchscreen controls here. A digital camera has also been included in back, although the placement might have your hands blocking it.
