The new Neo Hybrid case for your iPhone 3G/3GS is a soft rubber rear shell with a glossy hard plastic front bezel shield, with two types of screen protection: anti-glare and crystal clear, plus a cleaning cloth. As far as looks, this iPhone 3G knockoff is dead on, even featuring an OS X-inspired interface. It’s the best iPhone clone we’ve seen yet. Which makes us kinda proud of these knockoff artists. It shows that they actually can do decent work.

Now we have a leaked image that suggests Fido will be offering a 4GB iPhone 3G in the near future that will retail for $99, with quad-band EDGE and tri-band HSDPA connectivity, a 2-megapixel camera and iChat video calling, which means a front facing camera.

You might remember all of that talk of a $99 iPhone at Walmart from a while ago. It looks like the timing was off but it may actually happen. This also jibes with today’s earlier rumor here.

You might remember the Paul Frank iPhone cases that we featured previously. Well, here are two new versions that are available, if you like to accessorize with the famous monkey.

There’s the new Paul Frank Dots Julius Silicone Case, which features your monkey buddy as well as the Paul Frank Sugar Skurvy Silicone Case, which is red and features a skull and crossbones design. Both Paul Frank iPhone 3G cases are available from the Apple store for $29.99 each.

The onslaught of iPhone 3G cases continues with several recently announced offerings from iPod accessories maker iFrogz. These new cases are the Wrapz, Treadz and Luxe. The first two price around $15, while the Luxe is around $20.

All three cases are available now in a variety of colors. iFrogz says the basic design of the Wrapz case offers 100 percent silicone encasement, while the Treadz case offers an “extra-thick” silicone casing and a tire tread design. The Luxe case, meanwhile, provides protection with a hard, plastic shell, finished with a metallic facade and a “soft touch” feel, that slides around the iPhone 3G while still allowing access to all ports and sensors.

iFrogz

Speck, which just the other day said it was shipping a new iPod 3G translucent hard shell case, is back today with a new rugged case for the same mobile. It’s called the ToughSkin for 3G and it prices around $35.

The ToughSkin for 3G offers up a treaded texture for extra grip and comfort, a rubberized skin with slightly thicker corners for protection and a hinged bottom that can be pulled back for docking while in the case. Included is a detachable holster and swivel belt-clip. It is available now.

Speck

The march of new iPhone 3G cases continues with a translucent hard shell case from Speck. It is called the SeeThru Hard Shell for iPhone 3G and pricing puts it around $30.

The  offers what Speck says is a slim profile design. Rubberized finger grips help prevent slippage and the two piece, snap design includes a removable bottom for docking. The bottom of this case also serves as a stand for the iPhone 3G when detached.

Folks in New Zealand have already gotten their hands on the new Apple iPhone 3G and it’s only a day away from being launched here in the United States. When Apple announced the iPhone 3G this week it was a given that cases and accessories would be deluging us in the next few weeks. One of the things that most iPhone 3G buyers cone July 11 will be looking to buy at the same time will be a case to protect their shiny new phone.

To that end Belkin has announced a complete line of nine cases specifically designed for the iPhone 3G. The cases are supposed to protect the iPhone 3G and add looks to the device at the same time. The Belkin line includes silicone cases, arm band cases and polycarbonate cases in multiple colors, patterns and styles.
