Iomega 250GB eGo Camo har driveIomega has released a new drive called the Camo eGo hard drive for those that may want to stand out from the crowd at the office but blend in with the forest. The new eGo portable hard drive is powered solely by USB 2.0 and has a very decent capacity of 250GB inside its camouflaged frame.

The drive is also surrounded with a black “Power Grip” to help keep a hand-hold on it, but if you do end up losing your grip you can hope that the DropGuard technology does all that is says for drops up to 5 feet. The eGo Camo Portable drive is compatible with Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Max OS X.

Iomega Screenplay Multimedia Drive

A new portable external hard drive announced today by Iomega is geared towards bringing media content from the PC to home entertainment systems. The ScreenPlay HD MultiMedia Drive is priced at around $210.

The Iomega ScreenPlay HD MultiMedia Drive has 500 GB of storage, which Iomega says is enough to host up to 2 million photos, 9,250 hours of music, or 750 hours of video. The portability of this Windows-focused hard drive is enhanced by a remote control for navigation.

Iomega rolls out external HDD for gaming consoles

Iomega is introducing for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners a new external portable hard drive designed to offer greater storage for these gaming consoles. It is known as the Iomega Media Xporter Drive and you’ll find it pricing around $120.

The Iomega Media Xporter Drive is a 160GB hard drive which connects to Sony and Microsoft’s gaming platforms via USB 2.0. It is a wallet sized device which has been tested for compatibility with these systems and serves as a place to store media files of various formats which can be enjoyed through the different game machines.

Iomega REV drive hits 120GB

Iomega 70GB Rev Drive

Iomega announced today that its popular backup drive called the REV was getting a significant capacity increase. The REV drive previously topped out with a maximum storage capacity of 70GB (70GB drive pictured). The REV drive will be available in April with 120GB of storage capacity.

Iomega says the new REV drive will be available in two interfaces—USB and internal SATA. A third version with an ATAPI interface is planned for mid-2008. According to Iomega the installed base for REV drives is 350,000 units, and it expects the new higher capacity drives to increase that user base.
