Brick Pic: Pirate Keyboard

Posted in Brick Pic by Conner Flynn on November 4th, 2009

Pirate KeyboardIt’s a historical fact that Pirates don’t have a lot to say. They communicate mostly with scowls and grunts. When they do have to say something while sailing the high seas, plundering booty and hunting for treasures, it’s usually just “Arrrrr”.

So a Pirate’s keyboard keeps things simple with just the basic essential pirate keys. Arrrrrr. Avast. Even this keyboard, simple as it is, is hard to operate with a hook hand.

First official BlackBerry Onyx imageNot that it’s much of a secret, but this is the first official image of RIM’s latest BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry “Bold 9700″ or Onyx from T-Mobile. You get a high-gloss black finish with leather grain detail on the back.

Some other features include high-speed 3G Web browsing, Wi-Fi calling, visual voicemail and support for corporate and personal e-mail. The phone also comes preloaded with mobile applications from BlackBerry App World, including Amazon MP3 store for music downloads and TeleNav GPS Navigator for turn-by-turn directions.

Apple Tablet image leaked?

Posted in Apple by Conner Flynn on August 15th, 2009

Apple Tablet image leaked? Here’s the latest “leaked” image of Apple’s upcoming tablet. Images hit the net this morning. It’s likely fake, though it comes from a French blog with a decent track record. The image certainly jibes with the iPhone/iPod touch and iMac, and with the rumors we’ve heard. But the thing that jumps out at us is the placement of the home key, which is odd.

You’ll also notice OS X on the display. Analysts have been guessing that the device would run some version of the iPhone OS. What do you think? Fake? Or the real deal?

Image of 2 TB Time Capsule box?

Posted in Apple by Conner Flynn on April 6th, 2009

Image of 2 TB Time Capsule box?Looky here. Apple retailer ClubMac’s 500 GB Time Capsule page is currently NOT showing an image (shown here) of a 2 TB Time Capsule retail box in its “Product Detail” section. At one point, it apparently was showing such a box. Apple’s Time Capsule combination wireless router and network-attached storage drive is currently available only in 500 GB for $299 and 1 TB for $499.

It may turn out to be real. 2TB 3.5″ hard drives have recently become available, so why not? The original source of the image used on ClubMac’s site is unknown.

Life on Mars?Does this photograph really prove that we are not alone in the universe? The internet has been buzzing about this photo beamed back from Mars. It may be just an odd shaped rock.

But I can’t help feeling like we are missing something obvious here…Hmmm.

Posted in CES 2008, Headphones, Klipsch by Nino Marchetti on January 11th, 2008

Klipsch ImageKlipsch, a purveyor of fine audio products, turned a lot of heads at CES this week by unveiling what it calls the “world’s smallest, lightest headphones” now available. This new product is the Image and it’s been priced at around $350.

Klipsch said the Image headphones, available for purchase now, use a special type of ear gel which is “anatomically designed to accurately fit inside the human ear canal.” Each Image comes with three different sized ear gels for a better fit.

You can get more details on the Klipsch Image headphones after the jump.
