New Blackberry Curve image and specs

Posted in Curve by Conner Flynn on January 30th, 2011

It may be at least a year until you can lay hands on the Blackberry Curve Touch, but in the meantime you can drool over some rumored specs. The phone will be called Malibu and will have CDMA – EvDo Rev A connectivity.

It will sport a Qualcomm MSM 8655 800MHz CPU and feature a 5 MP camera with HD Video recording capabilities and a 3.25″ Display with 480×360 HVGA resolution. The rest are pretty standard specs. There should be a GSM version too. Both pricing and availability are not yet announced.

HTC EVO Shift 4G spotted in the wild

Posted in HTC by Conner Flynn on January 4th, 2011

It was only a matter of time before someone got their hands on the HTC EVO Shift 4G, and now it has happened. Some lucky guy out there has managed to get the device ahead of the official announcement. It looks like a close relative to the EVO 4G, but with a QWERTY keyboard, lower-resolution 5-megapixel camera and a smaller display.

We don’t see a front-facing camera though, so I guess you can forget video chat. Even so, looks great.

Is this the new Verizon iPhone 4?

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on October 12th, 2010

Gizmodo received the image above from a source who claims that it is the iPhone 4 for Verizon. Whether it is real or not, it looks damn good.

There have been credible reports of Apple engineering being aware of back glass problems that make the iPhone 4 design too fragile. So an aluminum back makes a lot of sense. There’s just no way to know if it is real or not just yet.

Look at what we have here. The Motorola Sage MB508. It’ not official yet, but at least we have this blurry shot of the Sage MB508 from Ubergizmo. Looks like a simple QWERTY device that hopes to cater to both casual users and heavy texters alike.

The Motorola Sage MB508 will come with an integrated calendar and integrated inbox for email/messages/Social Network updates. Other features include a 3.1″ touchscreen display, the Android 2.1 operating system, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, A-GPS support and a digital compass.

Projector wedding ring

Posted in Projectors by Conner Flynn on July 21st, 2010

How do you make your wedding ring stand out these days, among all of the rest? Put a projector in it. Groom-to-be Luke Jerram worked with jewelry designer Tamrakar on this bespoke projector ring design. It has a mini lens and transparent slide with a tiny image of himself and his bride that is ‘projected’ when you shine light through it.

The image can be changed to whatever you want in there, so you aren’t stuck with just one image. Sadly, this is just a one-off design, so if you want one you are on your own.

Motorola Droid 2 packaging leaked

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on July 20th, 2010

There have been some previous renders of the Motorola Droid 2 around the internet, but maybe that didn’t convince you that the phone is real and on its way. This ought to do the trick.

Here’s a pic of the Droid 2′s packaging being printed in the plant. If the rumors can be believed, the device has an August 23rd release. So, do you go for the Droid X? Or wait for the Droid 2? Tough call. Which are you guys going for?

Brick Pic: Pirate Keyboard

Posted in Brick Pic by Conner Flynn on November 4th, 2009

Pirate KeyboardIt’s a historical fact that Pirates don’t have a lot to say. They communicate mostly with scowls and grunts. When they do have to say something while sailing the high seas, plundering booty and hunting for treasures, it’s usually just “Arrrrr”.

So a Pirate’s keyboard keeps things simple with just the basic essential pirate keys. Arrrrrr. Avast. Even this keyboard, simple as it is, is hard to operate with a hook hand.

First official BlackBerry Onyx image

First official BlackBerry Onyx imageNot that it’s much of a secret, but this is the first official image of RIM’s latest BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry “Bold 9700″ or Onyx from T-Mobile. You get a high-gloss black finish with leather grain detail on the back.

Some other features include high-speed 3G Web browsing, Wi-Fi calling, visual voicemail and support for corporate and personal e-mail. The phone also comes preloaded with mobile applications from BlackBerry App World, including Amazon MP3 store for music downloads and TeleNav GPS Navigator for turn-by-turn directions.

Apple Tablet image leaked?

Posted in Apple by Conner Flynn on August 15th, 2009

Apple Tablet image leaked? Here’s the latest “leaked” image of Apple’s upcoming tablet. Images hit the net this morning. It’s likely fake, though it comes from a French blog with a decent track record. The image certainly jibes with the iPhone/iPod touch and iMac, and with the rumors we’ve heard. But the thing that jumps out at us is the placement of the home key, which is odd.

You’ll also notice OS X on the display. Analysts have been guessing that the device would run some version of the iPhone OS. What do you think? Fake? Or the real deal?

Image of 2 TB Time Capsule box?

Posted in Apple by Conner Flynn on April 6th, 2009

Image of 2 TB Time Capsule box?Looky here. Apple retailer ClubMac’s 500 GB Time Capsule page is currently NOT showing an image (shown here) of a 2 TB Time Capsule retail box in its “Product Detail” section. At one point, it apparently was showing such a box. Apple’s Time Capsule combination wireless router and network-attached storage drive is currently available only in 500 GB for $299 and 1 TB for $499.

It may turn out to be real. 2TB 3.5″ hard drives have recently become available, so why not? The original source of the image used on ClubMac’s site is unknown.

Are there little green men on Mars?

Posted in Humor by Conner Flynn on January 27th, 2008

Life on Mars?Does this photograph really prove that we are not alone in the universe? The internet has been buzzing about this photo beamed back from Mars. It may be just an odd shaped rock.

But I can’t help feeling like we are missing something obvious here…Hmmm.

Klipsch ImageKlipsch, a purveyor of fine audio products, turned a lot of heads at CES this week by unveiling what it calls the “world’s smallest, lightest headphones” now available. This new product is the Image and it’s been priced at around $350.

Klipsch said the Image headphones, available for purchase now, use a special type of ear gel which is “anatomically designed to accurately fit inside the human ear canal.” Each Image comes with three different sized ear gels for a better fit.

You can get more details on the Klipsch Image headphones after the jump.
