Apple is ready with a redesigned iMac line |
The Holiday season is upon us, so it makes sense that Apple would be ready to offer its 2009 Mac product line. According to Apple Insider, it could happen as early as this month. We’re talking a new line of iMacs with more stylish enclosures and some other added features not previously available.
Apparently, the new all-in-one, dual-core desktops were finalized earlier in September and have been rolling off the product lines for about two weeks. A thinner chassis and lower prices are expected. We may even see Blu-Ray.




This is as good a use as we’ve ever seen for an old iMac. Basically somebody just gutted the monitor and created a new home for their pet. Somehow he managed to completely gut it without cracking the thing.
This week Apple quietly announced plans to start selling aluminum 20-inch iMacs to qualified educational institutions for just $899. That means that qualified schools can pre-order an $899 20-inch iMac equipped with a 2.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB of memory, 160 GB hard drive, 8x SuperDrive, and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphic card.

Despite Apple’s Mac Mini being due for an overhaul, Apple has invalidated any recent rumors that they may be launching new products this year. Company spokesman Bill Evans told Macworld that Apple’s line up “…is set” for the holidays.
