Who says alarm clocks need be ordinary? That is the thought behind the new iHome iH41, a rotating alarm clock with iPod touch dock priced at around $80.

The iHome iH41 comes in an L-shape design and is built to take advantage of the variable aspect screen of the iPod touch. It can switch orientation so one can watch videos in either horizontal or vertical displays. The digital clock display also rotates to match the orientation of the iH41.

After announcing their iPod computer speakers, iHome wants you to know they have Zune love too. iHome’s ZN9 is being called “the world’s first clock radio for the Zune”.

The Zune is no iPod, so the device might be looked at as a bit of a gamble for the company, but iHome should do just fine since they already have plenty of products that cater to the iPod and because no one has bothered to make an alarm clock radio for the Zune until now. It sports a distinctive X-Box shape, which should please X-fans. The price is $99 in July.

iHome, announced the iH69 and iH70 speaker systems for Mac and the PC. Now, you can dock, charge, play and sync your iPod directly to the computer via the actual speakers, which is nice for convenience and because it eliminates some wires extra wires. The all in one speaker solution will also save you space.

The speakers are compatible with all docking iPod models, and are designed with high-fidelity Reson8™ speaker chambers for premium power output, sports a computer port, sync switch, volume controls and a headphone jack for private listening. Both models are currently available for pre-order on iHomeaudio.com and will be available soon nationwide for $99.99 and $129.99.

iHome lampEverywhere you look the proof of how successful the Apple iPod is abounds. It seems like everything is getting its own docking slot for an iPod. We have iPod clocks, iPod toilets, iPod stereos and the list goes on. 1000 years from now when researchers look back on this decade they will think we all needed help getting a woody and everyone needed a place to dock their iPod.

Naturally a new iPod docking device has turned up, this time in the form of a lamp. A company called Checkolite has a new iPod compatible, docking lamp for your desk. There are three lamp models that are available in black or white colors.
