At this year’s CES, Mattel showed off their new Hot Wheels offers, which are pretty cool. They have embedded the toy cars with a miniature camera. This allows you to see your crazy driving of the 1:64 car first hand.

Pretty cool when going through loops and courses, not to mention crashes. It’s called the Hot Wheels Video Racer and is sure to be a hit with kids everywhere when it hits the market.

Hot Wheels Stealth Rides RC Cars fold up, are credit card sized

Well parents, here’s something else you can step on and hurt your foot. Mattel’s ‘Stealth Rides’ are the latest from the Hot Wheels brand. These are real RC cars that fold down to a credit card sized package that’s about as thick as a cellphone, which makes them very convenient to carry in your pocket.

Look for them to be available in August for about $25 each. There are 5 different models, which include cars, some tanks and the Tumbler from Batman. Apparently these cars will run for 30 minutes, before they need a recharge.

Hot Wheels: Margarita Madness

Posted in Toys by Conner Flynn on May 3rd, 2009

The coolest thing my Hot Wheels cars ever did was go in loops real fast and lose a little paint with each crash. What you see above is a hot wheels track that was hacked into a margarita dispenser. The track is set up with a series of microswitches and a Basic Stamp 1 board to communicate that your Hot Wheels cars have completed the tricks performed.

That’s when this system rewards you as a 12-volt pump fills up the margarita cup from the pre-mixed gas can full of alcohol. I’m guessing the more you play this game, the funner it gets. It’s the new nerd drinking game of choice for modders and Hot Wheels enthusiasts alike.
