Hori slaps an LCD on your PS3 |
Hori’s HP3-87 adds an 11.6-inch screen to your PS3 using a wraparound structure. It includes stereo speakers, two headphone jacks, and composite or component input options. The resolution is 1,366 x 768, so it will handle the 16:9 signal with its 500:1 contrast ratio, 7ms response time, and 200 nits of brightness.
Those in Tokyo can get it on May 27, when the HP3-87 goes on sale for ¥26,040 ($276). We aren’t sure when it will have an international release, but hopefully soon, so we can get our PS3s portable too.

Gamers can be a picky bunch. We want things the way they work best while playing the game. When Japanese peripheral maker Hori revealed its $323 dual joysticks for the $15 Xbox LIVE Arcade game Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram, fans of the game were very vocal about how much it sucked.
Those of you who love fighting titles and especially those who love Tekken probably do not play with a stock controller. So this Hori arcade stick is for you. It will ship as part of a Tekken 6 Wireless Fight Stick Bundle bundle and will soon be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
I have always hated the look of the Gamecube controller, which is basically what we have here. It’s called simply the “Classic Controller.” Sure, there are plenty of other gamepads in this style, but not many get that fugly Gamecube look as close to the original as this one. And look at those autofire switches. It’s available in black, white, and blue on December 4th in Japan. You can pre-order one now for $29.90.
