V-MODA offers Personalized Crossfade LP Headphones

V-MODA is introducing a personalization program for their Crossfade LP over-ear headphones, for those who like to put their own mark on their gear. With Crossfade Customs, users can now choose their headphone color, metal plate color, and an engraved design with an 8-character message.

Think of all of the messages you could have with 8 characters. As Chip Chick points out, this is a great way for DJs to advertise during a gig. Great way to just rock your own style too. The design is already pretty cool.

Philips O’Neill Stretch Headphones

Amazon has started selling the Philips O’Neill Stretch headphones, which promise to deliver the perfect combination of premium sound quality, superior durability, and style. The Stretch is an over-ear pair of headphones with a wetsuit-inspired super-stretch headband, which gives it durability and a great fit.

These headphones also feature tangle-free cabling, deluxe noise isolating super soft ear cushions and self-adjusting neoprene headband for extra comfort. They also pack in dynamic 40mm drivers for deep/dynamic bass. The Philips O’Neill Stretch headphones are $67.29.

Zumreed X2 Hybrid Headphones are also Speakers

The X2 Hybrid Headphones look common enough, but look closer. They double as speakers. It allows you to switch back and forth between headphones or external speakers. If your ears get tired, just switch them. The outside of the earcups functions as the external speaker and the interior earcups function as a normal pair of headphones. Pretty neat design.

The drivers are 40mm and as speakers they output 0.5 watts. When used as a speaker they need to be charged and will operate for 4 hours on a 1 hour charge. They also come with a 3.5mm stereo gold plated plug and a 6.3mm stereo plug.

TDK TH-ST800 Headphones

TDK has revealed there latest flagship headphones in the TDK TH-ST800. These are made from fine leather and pack in large 50 mm diameter driver units with powerful neodymium magnets. They produce an output power of 250mW x 2, a frequency response of 20-20.000Hz, a sensitivity at 1KHz for 111 +/- 3dB and an input impedance of 32 Ohms.

Other features include volume and mute controls on the right hand ear-cup and an LED music visualizer on the cable. They also have an integrated EQ controller so you can tune your sound directly from your headphone audio cable.

Sony MDR-XB1000, MDR-XB41EX and MDR-XB21EX headphones

Sony is debuting three new and colorful headphones in Japan. The MDR-XB1000 model offers enhanced bass and are traditional over-the-ear style.

Sony’s other two new offerings, the MDR-XB41EX and MDR-XB21EX earbuds are both high-end, with unique designs and a whole bunch of color choices. We don’t have any word on pricing yet, or any idea when they will hit the states, if at all.

Panasonic RP-HX300 and RP-HX200 Overhead Headphones

Panasonic is launching two new overhead headphones in Japan. They are called the RP-HX300 and RP-HX200. Both models feature a new colorful stylish design and are made to be super light for comfort.

The Panasonic RP-HX300 weighs just 99 grams and provides an impedance of 32-Ohm, a sensitivity of 116cB/mW and has a few 35mm driver units. The Panasonic RP-HX200 weighs 88 grams and comes with a pair of 30mm drive units. No info on pricing just yet though.

Empire Brands to launch 3D series headphones at CES 2011

Empire Brands will use CES to roll out its new 3D series line of headphones. The 3D series will be the flagship line of headphones under their Wicked Audio line-up, featuring raised and colorful artwork in a striking 3D effect. We have to admit, they look pretty stylish.

They also feature maximum noise isolation that will inhibit ambient noise to ensure the best audio quality. The adjustable headband and padded earcups will also guarantee a great listening experience.

Funko 501 Clone Trooper Fold-Up Headphones

Another day, another Star Wars themed gadget, This time it’s the Funko 501 Clone Trooper fold-up headphones, which are compatible with most MP3 players, iPods and PMPs. And of course they feature the head of a Clone Trooper.

We aren’t sure how durable these are, but these lightweight headphones also feature 40mm stereo sound speakers and a standard 3.5mm audio jack. They weigh in at just 9.6 ounces.

Monster’s TRON T3 In-Ear Headphones now available on Amazon

Despite all of the bad reviews that the movie is getting, people seem to be buying all of the Tron merchandise. And now the Tron T3 in-ear headphones from Monster have finally landed on Amazon. These in-ear headphones are priced at just $49.99 and it looks like the headphones feature Monster’s flat cable / tangle-resistant design.

The T3 also features a circular brushed Tron logo and comes bundled with 3 pairs of sound-isolating ear-tips. These also feature “low mass, wide-bandwidth drivers for detailed gaming and movie effects.”

Fanny Wang Headphones with DuoJack Inline Splitter

The Fanny Wang Headphone Co. is looking to compete with beats by dr. dre. These ultra premium headphones will launch later this month. Obviously they are fashionable but they also promise to deliver superior sound.

Fanny Wang Headphones will be compatible with iPods, iPhones and the iPad and each model includes a built-in DuoJack inline splitter, so your friends can share your listening experience. These headphones also feature 40mm titanium drivers and cushioned earcups. The Fanny Wang Headphones collapse for portability and feature a sturdy metal hinge. They will be available in bold red, ink black or crisp white for $149.95.

Hands On: dB Logic SPL2 Headphones

dB Logic’s SPL2 headphones are designed for healthy listening so they won’t damage your ears. The company was kind enough to provide us with a review unit so we could hear how they sound. These are no-battery-required ultra-low distortion sound pressure level headphones and earphones, which include models for adults and kids.

The SPL2 lowers the volume while still keeping the shape of the sound wave curve. The headphones regulate the volume when it is needed, while still keeping the “musical content largely unchanged”. How do they sound? Read on.

Audio-Technica ATH-ANC27 and ATH-ANC25 Noise Cancelling Headphones

Audio-Technica has two new sets of noise cancelling headphones that are each under $100. Most Noise Canceling headphones will set you back more than that. The ATH-ANC27 and ATH-ANC25 both have similar features. The ANC27 headphones can block up to 85% of the sound in a room using active noise cancellation and are an over-the-ear design, while the ANC25 are on-ear style and can block 80% of the sound in the room.

Both use active noise cancellation tech and are compatible with Apple products like the iPhone and iPod. And both need an AAA battery for the noise cancellation feature. The ANC27 headphones are $99.95 and the ANC25 sell for $79.95.

Vizio XVTHP200 Wireless Headphones with iPod Docking Station

Vizio’s Active Noise Canceling High Definition Headphones with Wireless Dock for iPod, otherwise known as the XVTHP200, just got one step closer to getting into your hot little hands as it has just paid a visit to the FCC.

It’s a set of wireless headphones that also features a docking/charging station that supports the iPod/iPhone. It boasts music playback controls, active noise reduction, a mini USB port for charging, SRS audio processing and a 3.5mm input jack for audio input from all of your other devices.

Elecom iPod Shuffle Headphones

The new Shuffle is tiny, so Elecom’s Actrail headphones cut out the middleman, plugging the Shuffle in next to the right earpiece. Awesome design. You can only attach the current-generation Shuffle to the Actrails right now.

They’re available in pink or white for $50 in Japan, but it won’t be long until others copy the design and offer it up in the States. it doesn’t get more wireless than that.

Marshall’s Major headphones and Minor earphones get official

Marshall is finally making their debut personal headgear products official. The headliner is called the Major, which are the collapsible headphones shown above. It comes with both 3.5mm and 6.3mm (via an adapter) connectability and “super soft” cushions to keep your ears comfortable. The exterior of the headband is made from the same vinyl Marshall uses on its amplifiers and the price is $99.

The Minor set of in-ear drivers are $59. These boast a tangle-resistant fabric cord with an integrated mic and a patented EarClick system. Too bad they have already sold out.
