JVC has just announced its HP-S560 (10Hz to 25kHz) and HP-S360 (10Hz to 24kHz) headphones that boast 32O impedance and 112dB/1mw output for superior audio quality. Both models feature the specially developed “Dual Protection Structure” on their driver units which suppresses unnecessary resonances.

Both will be available in Japan sometime between September and November. We don’t have any info on how much they will cost, and whether they will be available outside of Japan. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Bose has announced the latest addition to its line of active noise cancellation headphones called the QuietComfort 15. The new headphones feature both new active and passive noise cancellation technology.

iHome proves that over the ear headphones are alive and well with their iHMP5 headphones. iHome even went the extra mile and put an in-line amplifier in them, so if your ears start to hurt, you can take them off and they are instant portable speakers.

The iHMP5 also comes with a louder battery-powered amplifier as well so that when users want to set it up in speaker-mode, the power is reduced in private normal mode. 2 inch drivers bring the sound, and it has an extra volume clip for more control.

Turtle Beach has been making headphones for computers and game consoles for a long time. The company offers all sorts of other products as well that help gamers and computer users listen to music and watch movies without waking the whole house.

The latest set of headphones from Turtle Beach for the Xbox 360 is the Turtle Beach X31 stereo wireless digital RF gaming headset. The headphones are the replacement for the Turtle Beach X3 headset and allows for digital stereo sound to be sent without wires from the Xbox.

LG has announced its Design the Future competition winners, one of which was this Hi-Fi cellphone that also doubles as headphones. Supposedly when it’s folded up, it can fit into a slot in a laptop or your pocket. Unfold it and you have a fancy pair of stereo headphones.

Pretty nice. If this design concept ever finds its way to the real world, it could be a winner. LG could do itself a huge favor by thinking outside of the box and actually offering up some items like this one.

The new JVC Black series HA-M750 and HA-S650 are designed to be used with the latest generation of portable audio devices. The JVC HA-M750 is a full-size headphone with a 1.57-inch (40mm) driver unit for deep bass. It offers “DJ-style” one-ear monitoring with unique twistable housing, and a foldable design for portability. This one comes with a slim, gold-plated iPhone-compatible plug and a ¼-inch plug adapter.

The JVC HA-S650 is a flat-folding model that’s also easy to take with you. It’s also light so it’s comfortable when using it for long periods. Back to school season is upon us and evidentially several manufacturers think that every student going back to school needs a new set of earphones. I guess there will be many students looking for earphones considering that most students have iPods or other MP3 players.

JVC has announced two new sets of earphones with several color options including the HA-FX20 and the HA-EBX85. The FX20 earphones are designed for the basic user and have five color options available and ship with three different sizes of rubber ear tips.

There are a number of noise cancelling headphones and earphones on the market that remove noise from an environment by active or passive means. The headphones come in especially handy when trying to work or rest in noisy environments like on an airline flight.

Audio-Technica has announced an improved set of active noise-canceling headphones called the ATH-ANC7b headphones that promise to eliminate 85% of external sound from your environment. The headphones also feature removable cables in two lengths — 1.6 meter and 1.0 meter.

Razer’s new Megaladon headphones must be awesome since they are named after an extinct humongous shark. They are. Headphones this badass have to be named for a monster. These babies actually emulate a 7.1 surround sound system.

They also come with a remote for adjusting the volume and a mouthpiece to use while gaming, which is what they are made for. They go on sale for $150 tomorrow. If you’re in the market for serious headphones, these are worth a serious look.

My son just got out of school for the summer and already he is driving me crazy. He can’t seem to play the PS3 without the explosions shaking the entire house thanks to the big woofer being cranked up on the home theater.

Turtle Beach has announced an answer to that problem with a new set of headphones for the PS3 called the P21 Gaming Headset. The headset has an inline amp for good sound and deep bass. The amp is powered by a USB connection to the PS3.

Sony announced three new headphones this morning. The MDR-NC300D, MDR-NC33, and MDR-N600D. The Sony MDR-NC300D is a noise canceling in ears headphone with three different modes for Noise Canceling. There’s General Mode and Movie, Airplane Mode and Train, Bus, Car, Office. It is capable of suppressing up to 98.4% of the undesired noises around you.

The Sony MDR-NC33 is capable of suppressing up to 90% of noises. The Sony MDR-N600D is an “over-head” pair of headphones capable of canceling 99% of noises.

This pair of headphones is clearly from the future. No doubt sent here to protect young John Connor’s ears and keep him listening to his tunes in style, so that he can one day be a kick-ass leader. At least, that’s what I’m guessing judging by how awesome they look. This is the Q-Sound headphone concept from Shepeleff Stephen and the design is simply amazing.

It looks great and also uses solar technology. That’s a solar panel running across the headband, where it will always catch the sun. The Q-Sound, being a concept, would also take calls or plug into a 3.5mm jack if you need it to.
