Music games are still doing well and the most recent version of Rock Band is The Beatles: Rock Band. The game has proven to be popular and MTV and Harmonix are set to launch the second DLC pack for the game tomorrow.

The new DLC content will hit the Xbox 360 tomorrow and the PS3 on November 19. The new content is the Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band. The content will be available per song for $1.99 each or as an entire album.

Music games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero are very popular and have proven to be a great way for record labels and bands to sell music to the public. Playable track sells for a while outpaced the sales of the normal music tracks for some groups.

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that bands and record labels can now access the tools they need to turn music into playable tracks for Rock Band online. The new service is offered through the Rock Band Music Network Music Store.

Yee-haw and giddy up little doggies. Harmonix has announced that they will be releasing a new song update for their Rock Band game. The Rock Band Country Track Pack features 21 brand new songs to rock out to.

This new “Track Pack” will be available for all the major consoles like the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Wii. It features hits from numerous country artists including Shania Twain and more. Now I don’t know much about Country music and I’m not a fan, but I can only imagine that your screen will be filled with things like tractors, horses and perhaps Willie Nelson riding both. Fans of both The Beatles and Rock Band have reason to get excited. Very excited. Are you sitting down? MTV Games and Harmonix have just announced a partnership with Apple Corps, Ltd. to bring the band’s music (and instruments) to the Rock Band universe.

The game will apparently premiere with a set of new hardware “modeled after instruments used by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr throughout their career.” If you ceck out the site, there’s a holder page up with a launch date of September 9th, but as soon as we get more info, we’ll pass it on.

Apparently Harmonix has some interesting new features in store for RockBand.com. The site will be getting a complete overhaul with features sure to make any plastic instrument playing nerd wet himself a little. Some of the new features are an online photo creator for photo shoots with your Rock Band 2 band so you can use the pictures online.

Next, users can link these photos to real-world merchandising like posters, T-shirts, stickers for your band etc. If that isn’t geeky enough, and I’m sure it’s not for some, you can get action figures made from your band members “for about 70 bucks”. Looks like music games are no longer just about songs and fake instruments. Now they’re also about bringing fake bands into the real world where they can all annoy each other and realize that on a real instrument they suck.
