Hey, you gotta protect your hands. Just like you protect your package. What better way to baby your hands and protect them from all of the daily activities that can lead to damaged skin and chaffing etc?

Never fear. Tighty whities for your hands have arrived. Yes, these are underpants for your hands. Ladies will be inexplicably drawn to your hands, as if you were an underwear model. Which you kind of are. Times two. Only $11.95. Money well spent if you ask us.

Xtensor hand exerciser for gamers

Xtensor hand exerciser for gamersThe Xtensor is a weird workout glove designed to get your hands in shape for the big game on whatever console you choose. So, if you suck at playing video games, consider this your new personal trainer. It will condition your hands for maximum controller efficiency. Might even improve your action with rosy palm too, but I wouldn’t count on either.

What’s that? You also don’t believe this glove-like device can do anything for you, aside from making you look like an idiot? Check out the blurb below and see if that convinces you.

Boot and Glove Dryer

Boot and Glove DryerIf you’re spending much of your holidays in the snow or if you happen to fall in a lake, this boot and glove dryer might come in handy. The Pacific Outdoors Deluxe Boot and Glove Dryer supposedly dries your boots and gloves quietly, with efficient thermal convection that circulates warm air through your boots.

No word on how much power it sucks up, but nothing beats being able to wear some pre-heated and dry boots in the winter. The price is $44. As a bonus it looks like some strange booted and gloved creature with no head has just kicked the bucket right there on your floor.

The Vie GPS sports glove concept

Vie GPS sports glove concept
Despite the fact that this thing reminds me of the old Nintendo power glove, it’s pretty neat looking, mannequin hands and all. Designer Du Tran Nguyen sees the Verva Vie Sports Glove as the ultimate piece of sporting equipment for the 21st century. How so? The Vie would allow the use of GPS to develop workouts, map routes, and even send out distress beacons(Perish the thought). It has an interface that can be controlled with one hand via strain gauges in the fingers. These interact with an E-ink screen.

It could also be used in sports to communicate plays or share information with other athletes via a handshake. Otherwise known as cheating. On the safety front, it could be used to share health information with a training partner. If there’s danger, a distress signal could be sent to other gloves, or even directly to the police or hospital.(Oh hell, my gloves are tingling, my partner’s in trouble. This sounds like a job for…me! Gloveman!)

Wii Gamer Glove gets your geek on

Wii Gamer Glove to help keep a grip on the Wii RemoteNintendo has gone to some fairly great and seemingly unnecessary lengths to help people keep their hands on the motion sensitive controls that come with the Wii game console. The company has put out a couple of strap revisions and added a free padded jacket for the controller but people still manage to occasionally cause some damage.

The makers of this Gamers Glove for the Wii Remote are betting that the strap and jacket that come with the controller just aren’t going to be quite enough for you with your wild swings during boxing and tennis matches. The glove is made with some slip-resistant and stretchy material to give it a snug fit and to help keep the controller in the palm of your hand where it belongs. It will also undeniably call you out as the Wii-loving fanboy geek that you are.

Pulse Monitoring Glove

Pulse monitor glove from BeurerIt’s not exactly a glove and I don’t know if I’d classify it as a watch either, but it is something new that will be shown off at the Wearables Technologies Congress in Munich, Germany this month. This exercise gadget is like a second skin according to Beurer, the makers of the device. It wears on your wrist and hand similar to a glove and monitors your pulse without the need for a chest belt like most heart rate monitors.

Instead of reading the electric pulses from your heart, this this pulse monitoring glove uses plethysmography to detect your hear rate. This makes a simple, one-piece device that athletes can use to monitor their heart rate during exercise. The only downside to this device compared to the more traditional monitors that pick up a wireless signal from the belt is that exercise …
