If you think that your iPad needs a QWERTY keyboard attached, you might want to check out this Folio keyboard. It connects to your iPad via Bluetooth. You can rest it against the collapsible back stand that comes with it so you can enjoy watching movies on your iPad while it is in the case.

The whole case acts as a protective cover for your iPad. It’s leather so it should be durable. If you pre-order the case you can get it for $130. Later the price will be $150.

I have used several eReaders over the years and they are nice as long as you have light to read by. Once it gets dark you can’t read from the screen of most eReaders, unless the reader uses a LCD like the iPad. EInk displays lack a backlight.

For the eReader like the Nook or Kindle 2 if you want to read in the dark you, need a light. Periscope has announced that its Lighted Folio is now available to fit the Kindle 2 and the Barnes & Noble Nook. It has the same hideaway dual LED light to read by.

Folio and booklight for Kindle 2If your Kindle 2 was feeling a little naked, now it has a new Folio booklight case to snuggle up to, complete with small memo pad, a pen and a retractable light for night time reading. Your Kindle 2 will feel fully clothed at last.

It isn’t cheap at $50, considering what the Kindle 2 has already cost you, but you’ll be helping the economy I guess. Or you can go to Amazon is where for $30 you can get a standard book cover without the pen and notepad and light.
