Griffin has launched a new iTrip FM transmitter for iPods, iPhones and MP3 players, called the Griffin iTrip Universal. It comes with an integrated 3.5mm audio cable, a built in display, and two user programmable presets. The device is powered by two AA batteries and comes with an optional window mount for your dashboard or car windshield.

iTrip sends the music from your player to the closest FM receiver, in your car or at home, through your stereo speakers. Expect it to be available in the first Quarter of 2011, with the iTrip costing $25 and the optional window mount costing $20.

The Griffin iTrip DualConnect hooks up the company’s FM transmitter technology with a plug for your car’s 12 volt power outlet. The integrated cable plugs into the dock connector on your iPhone or iPod touch so that iTrip can charge the battery while you drive.

You can also use the free iTrip Controller App to control iTrip and make the setup quick and easy. The Griffin iTrip DualConnect will cost you $59.99. Now you can take your device with you and keep it charged up.

The iTrip is a pretty simple device. The idea is that you plug one end into your car cigarette lighter socket and the other into the earphone jack of your MP3 player, replacing your car radio with the soothing sounds of your own music collection playing through FM radio.
