I don’t know how many times I’ve been playing a fishing game on the Xbox 360, only to be disappointed that my fish got away due to a crappy fishing pole. Well, no more. Never again will I lose a fish and throw my plastic rod into the TV.

Thanks to “The Strike,” coming this fall, I’ll get “realistic lake bottom topography, life-like fish behaviors” and more. Time to get in some practice with paperclip fish and a magnet on my line. And if you don’t like fishing games, this thing looks quality enough to beat people with.

There may be a reason that older people who use canes don’t fish very often. Could be that it’s a pain in the ass to use both a walking stick and fishing pole at the same time.

Those with walking problems will be happy to now find both in one device. Though it might get them some strange looks when not fishing. It’s 35-inches tall, with a rubber foot and metal/plastic reel, and only $39.95. Obviously it could be more stylish.
