GameStop gets exclusive Final Fantasy PSP bundle

finalfantastpsp-sbSony often announces limited edition entertainment packs for its PSP console that bundle some new game with an exclusive color and other items to entice users to buy its portable console. The PSP-3000 is getting a bit long in the tooth now and rumors are circulating that a new PSP may be coming.

I’m not sure about the new PSP yet, but GameStop is getting a new exclusive PSP bundle to go along with the launch of the Dissidia Final Fantasy game. The bundle will include a mystic silver PSP-3000, Dissidia Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children CGI movie UMD, and a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo.

Final FantasyIf a popular video game or movie is released it often doesn’t take long before the content if being ripped off in one way or another. From illegal file sharing to outright bootleg copies being sold lots of illegitimate content makes it to market. Often unauthorized products based on games and films are produced as well.

Square Enix Holdings, the owner of the publisher behind the Final Fantasy video game franchise, announced a huge settlement today against three companies importing unauthorized goods based on the game. The companies were importing and selling replicas of the sword from the game.

Sony Final Fantasy VII edition PS3Final Fantasy is the game series that just won’t die. Like the Godfather Michael Corleone, everytime you are out they keep pulling you back in. The latest incarnation is the re-release of Advent Children, and Sony’s celebrating with another special edition console to celebrate it.

The upgraded movie apparently features 30 extra minutes of animation action. The new PS3 itself features a 160GB HDD and a matte “Cloud Black” paint job with Cloud’s Strike Wolf emblem applied on top. The bundle that comes with the movie and includes a demo of Final Fantasy XIII will sell for about $550 in Japan when it arrives next month.
