Prada iPad Case is expensive, fugly

Posted in iPad accessories by Conner Flynn on November 16th, 2010

The latest overpriced case for your iPad comes from fashion whore Prada. The Prada Nylon iPad case comes in both red (rosso) and pink (peonia) and features the signature Prada triangle logo, with silver color hardware, padding, and an interior pocket.

None of that makes it worth anything close to it’s $420 asking price. Plus they are ugly. But if you absolutely need to follow the herd, they can be found at Neiman Marcus.

Louis Vuitton Asus Eee PC

Posted in Netbook by Conner Flynn on January 28th, 2010

Nothing says gaudy like slapping an overpriced brand on your Asus Eee PC. That’s just what has happened here with this netbook for fashionistas who love to throw money away. This Asus Eee PC 1101HA has had its exterior covered in leather that bears the famous Louis Vuitton pattern.

It was specially commissioned by a saddler, and aside from the exterior, everything else remains the same. It’s no iPhone Supreme and at least it isn’t covered in Swarovski crystals. You just have to wonder about some peoples taste.

Softbank unveils Emporio Armani phoneBehold. A fashion phone so awesome in it’s fashion-i-ness that it must be handled with a glove at all times. If it’s fashion-overkill design were to touch your bare skin, it would burn you much in the same way that dry ice can burn you. That is to say, nobody really understands it, but we simply respect it’s awesome power.

It comes from an unholy alliance between Japan’s Softbank and fashion label Emporio Armani. The new handset is called the 830SC Emporio Armani Model and was specifically designed for the Japanese market by Giorgio Armani himself.

Antler Headphones will get you shot in the woods

Antler Headphones will get you shot in the woodsHere’s a great redneck way to listen to your favorite tunes. Preferably outdoors, where you aren’t poking holes in the wall. But if you have to sit in the woods while rocking out, be careful that some hunter doesn’t take a shot at you, otherwise you and your headphones will end up on his trophy wall looking like the lovechild of Bambi and Elton John.

More likely you’ll just wear these around town at night and it will lead to reports of strange sightings of a new man-beast with antlers.

Samsung Armani Night Effect now available in the UKIt was previously announced that Samsung’s Armani Night Effect would be available for 300€ on November 2008 in Europe. As for other regions, we have no idea. There’s some good news for people in the UK however. The Samsung Armani Night Effect is available now in the UK, from January 9th 2009.

The phone comes with 2.2-inch AMOLED display screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 120 MB internal memory, microSD card slot and supports HSDPA/GSM network. It’s by no means the top of the range in handsets, but it’s focus is on the beauty of simple design and ease of use.

LG KC560 in the works

Posted in LG by Conner Flynn on November 10th, 2008

LG KC560 in the worksThe LG KC560 resembles the LG KC550, but this time around the KC560 will focus on style and music instead. Disco by the looks of it. What makes the LG KC560 different from most other handsets? The colored LEDs at the bottom for one thing.

The colored LEDs will start to blink each time you get an incoming call, and it will also light up in time with whatever track you happen to be playing. Which, again, by the looks of it should be the Bee Gees or Abba. Or God forbid KC and the Sunshine Band. Some specs include: Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900), GPRS/EDGE connectivity, 2.4? 262K color QVGA TFT display, 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, FM radio, USB and Bluetooth and microSD memory card slot. Expect to pay $300 to $350 for the LG KC560.

Memorex miniMOVE Boombox, purse thing for iPod

Memorex miniMOVE Boombox, purse thing for iPodAt first glance you might think that Memorex has updated those old portable 8-Track players, you know the one’s with the handles from back in the day… Okay, they kinda have. The 8-Track cassette tape is now an iPod, but otherwise it’s pretty much the same deal. The Memorex miniMOVE Boombox for iPod resembles a purse and is obviously aimed at the ladies as a fashion accessory.

The portable boombox can go anywhere thanks to it’s innovative and retro handle technology. It’s powered by AA batteries or AC/DC. It’s even got a built in FM radio, backlit LCD display, and wireless remote. Comes in Pink, Black, Teal, or Silver and retails for $49.99. This is just the sort of odd and stupid thing that some Sex and the City character would have with her on-screen, thereby making it a hit and making every other Lemming follow suit. Am I wrong? What do you think girls? Would you buy this?

Cybertek Wings turn women into hot looking X-men

Cybertek Wings turn women into hot looking X-men
If Professor Xavier were wheeling down the street and saw a young lady sporting these wings, she’d be enrolled in his school for the gifted quicker then Wolverine can flick his claws. I have to say, these wings look striking and almost sexual in a geek sort of way thanks to the great pics.

The wings are made of carbon fiber and extruded aluminum and the light on the wingtips can be customized in red, green, yellow, purple, or white. Apparently the wings can extend or retract 7 times before the air pressure has to be recharged. That will take 5-10 minutes. For $1,000 they can be yours. I’m hoping that this catches on and women start flying around looking extra hot, donning their wings as fashion accessories and swooping down to snatch up unsuspecting men like a hawk. That would make me happy.

Google Sari: Your search reveals lady parts beneath

Google Sari is searchable by a good frisk
The Sari is a traditional piece of clothing originally worn by Indian women. The Google Sari is a designer’s attempt at being clever. Of course, if Google doesn’t appreciate it, your Sari may turn into a genuine sorry. It’s from designer Satya Paul, who showed the Google sari in one of his recent shows. Very clever. Or maybe not. I can’t decide. I can’t wait for his next attempt, which is probably iPhone inspired and called the Safari Sari or something. Maybe a see-through sari called Microsoft Touch. That one would be trouble.

Gameboy boots for the gaming Disco Stu

Gameboy boots for the gaming Disco Stu
These gameboy boots certainly make a fashion statement. Something about how everything you love dies. Like Disco and Nintendo’s handheld, for instance. So why not combine the two in a space age Disco look and hit the dance floor?

These boots were designed by Helen Red Richards back in 2001 for a Nintendo campaign. Apparently the Japanese love them and wear them all the time. And why not? Nothing wrong with looking like a space cowboy. Plus, you’ll always have a pair of Gameboys handy for you and a friend.
