Wireless USB is a great bit of tech that allows us to cut some of the wires from our computer to peripherals like scanners and printers. Typically, wireless USB devices need to be within line of site of your computer and in the same room to work. Cables To Go has announced a new Wireless USB Superbooster Extender that will boost the transmission range up to 150 feet.

The Superbooster can provide connectivity for devices like scanners and printers up to 150 feet away from your computer and you don’t need line of site. That means that you can access devices in other rooms or even on other floors.

The GefenTV wireless HDMI extender will send HD video from the player to an HD display up to 100 feet away. The HD video delivered over the air will even deliver 1080/30p quality with Dolby 5.1 surround sound within that 100-foot distance.

It uses Amimon’s 5GHz wireless technology, which is able to deliver clean and lag-free HD video over air. The extender consists of just a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is connected to a video player, whIle the receiver is attached to an HD display.

Adder talked this week about some new extenders which can length the reach of USB and video signals to remote locations. The new Adder AdderLink X50 is priced at around $645, while the AdderLink X50-Multiscreen prices around $945.

The Adder AdderLink X50 is designed to deliver video up to 1920 x 1200 together with 44.1kHz digital stereo audio over a single CATx cable. It can also be used to extend USB signals from peripherals such as keyboards, mice and graphics tablets to up to 165 feet from the computer.
