Iomega eGo drive |
Iomega has added a few models to its eGo line of portable hard drives. The 250GB and 500GB versions will retail for $85 and $135. Each of these new Iomega eGo drives will be powered by a single USB port and comes in red, silver, blue and black colors.
You know, if the usual white and black of gadget colors has you wanting some change. Aside from that, there’s not a whole lot to see here.

Iomega kicked out a couple of new portable hard drives last month, one of which being the rugged 250GB eGo BlackBelt that we’re taking a look at today. The most stand-out feature we found in the BlackBelt was its Drop Guard Xtreme, allowing the portable drive to take a hit to the pavement from as much as 7 feet in the air and keep on ticking.
Samsung has a brand new luxury cellphone in the Samsung Ego GT-S9402. The body of this handset is made of a “liquidmetal” composite alloy developed by Caltech, which is said to be three times stronger and can withstand 1.8 times the pressure, 1.6 time more flexible then, with three times better vibration absorption, and 100% lower termal conductivity then titanium. That’s quite a claim.
Here’s one for Bentley fans who have $20k to drop on a netbook. The Bentley Laptop by Ego Lifestyle goes all out for that luxurious look, with top quality leather and bold, shiny chrome exterior. I mean, you look at the thing and you want to drive it instead of boot it up. Inside it’s pretty average with an unnamed AMD 64 chipset, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive with a 12.1″ display. For $20k it should also sport wheels and double as an RC car, have a gas tank and come with a hot blonde.
Iomega has released a new drive called the Camo eGo hard drive for those that may want to stand out from the crowd at the office but blend in with the forest. The new eGo portable hard drive is powered solely by USB 2.0 and has a very decent capacity of 250GB inside its camouflaged frame.
