For those of you who have been waiting for the arrival of the ASUS Eee PC 1015PX Netbook, we have some good news. Asus has now started shipping their new netbook and it is now available to purchase. To refresh your memory, the new ASUS Eee PC 1015PX is powered by an Intel Atom N570 Dual Core Processor 1.66Ghz, and has 1 GB DDR3 SODIMM memory, which can be increased up to 2 GB.

There’s also a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 screen and it runs Windows 7 Starter edition. There are two versions of the netbook: the 1015PX-PU17 with a 56W/h battery providing “up to 11 hours” of battery life and the 1015PX-MU17 with a 48W/h unit for maximal “10 hours” of battery life.

Fans of Asus computers will enjoy the company’s latest additions to the Eee PC family. The Eee PC 1015B and 1215B feature 10-inch and 12-inch displays, with prices starting at $289 and $379, respectively. That seems nice and affordable right? We like that.

Some other features include 250GB of storage, 1GB of memory, VGA, USB, and HDMI ports, along with 1080p output. For the price, that’s pretty decent. Who wants one?

Asus has another new netbook with the launch of the Eee PC Sirocco 1015PW netbook. It is basically a 1015PW netbook with a new textured paint job to make it look cooler. It comes with a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and your choice of either a 320GB or 250GB hard drive.

Some other features include a 10 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, Bluetooth 3.0 and integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi. Sadly, there are no details on pricing or availability yet.

It seems like hardly a day goes by without another Eee PC being announced. Like the Eee PC 1016P going all official on the website even though it lacks an official product page. This one runs an Intel Atom N455 processor and comes equipped with Bluetooth 3.0, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and 13-hours of battery life.

It can be had in black or silver. Some other features include: Windows 7 Starter/Windows 7 Home Basic/Windows 7 Professional, 10.1 “LED backlit WSVGA screen (1024 × 600), WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Stereo speakers, Built-in microphone and an MMC/SD/SDHC memory card slot.

A listing for the 1005PX has appeared on the company’s site, although it’s broken link. But we do know that it’s available in white, black, red, blue, and that little girl friendly pastel pink above. It looks nice and pleasing to the eye, but aside from looks, there’s nothing too exciting.

It sports a 1.6GHz Atom N450 CPU, 1 or 2GB of RAM, up to 320GB of storage, and a 10-inch matte 1024 x 600 LED-backlit LCD. You’ll get 8.5 hours with a six-cell battery, but we don’t yet have a price or date.

If you’re looking for a decent budget netbook, the ASUS 1001PX is worth a look. It features a carbon fiber type lid and packs either Windows XP, with a 160GB hard drive and a 5-hour battery life; or Windows 7 with a 250GB hard drive, a larger 6-cell battery and 9-hour battery life.

Looks like the Windows XP version will cost about $325 while the Windows 7 version will run you $400. Both netbooks have the same specs otherwise.

This is the Eee PC 1008P, the Seashell 2, which is not due to be unveiled until CES, but thanks to HardwareZone we have these images to check out in the meantime. The exterior was designed by Karim Rashid and under the hood is Intel’s Pine Trail architecture with an N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB of storage.

It now has room for a removable battery, hidden behind a cover and sliding out the side, the VGA port is provided by what looks like a mini-USB adapter in the bottom, and the other ports are behind little doors. That’s about all we know right now, but we should know more in about a month.

The ASUS Eee PC T91 has officially debuted on the company’s US website, and according to one dealer it’s set to hit stores this week. The 8.9-inch convertible touchscreen netbook is already available in the UK and features Intel’s Z520 1.33GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and a 16GB SSD.

It also sports ASUS’ Super Hybrid Engine, which can be used to boost battery life to up to 5hrs, and optional HSDPA cellular connectivity. Standard wireless includes WiFi draft-n and Bluetooth. Other options are a TV tuner and GPS receiver.

The Asus Eee PC T91, the first touchscreen convertible netbook from the Taiwanese tech giant, will be making its way over to the UK within a month, and we now have some info on the price. The Asus Eee PC T91 was unveiled at CES in January, but Asus UK has kept quiet about a launch date for the tablet/netbook. Now we can report that the Asus Eee PC T91 will launch in either late May or early June in the region for £449.

The current specs for a UK version are still to be set in stone, but in January, Asus claimed the 9-incher with TV tuner and GPS pretty much has standard netbook internals.

Asus is preparing to release into retail a new Eee PC netbook. This one is called the 1000HE and it retails for around $400.

The Asus 1000HE Eee PC, available in black or blue body colors, weighs around 3.2 pounds and is powered by an Intel Atom N280 processor which draws not too much power. Battery life on this netbook is rated for around 9.5 hours, made possible in part by a special power management feature called the Super Hybrid Engine.

Forget tattooing yourself up with robots. Tattoo your laptop instead. The guy who did this is obviously a big fan of Super Mario Land on the Game Boy. We have to give him some props here. The fact that he actually went to the trouble of laser-etching every level of the game in sequence across his Eee PC is sheer brilliance. It leaves us drooling and wanting to etch something, anything, real bad.

According to Chris, it’s creator, “Last night I laser-etched the top of my Eee PC with the complete level maps of Super Mario Land (on the Game Boy). Everything from the familiar layouts of 1-1 to the climactic battle with Tatanga in the clouds at the end of 4-3 is represented in the etching. This was made possible with the laser cutter at NYC Resistor in Brooklyn, where you can go to get your laptop etched too! I set the laser in raster mode at 70% speed and 40% power to achieve this look.”

ASUS this week slapped Windows XP officially as a pre-install onto its Eee PC product. The company also incorporated Windows Live and Microsoft Works features.

With the addition of Windows XP, ASUS said, users will have a “fuss-free” platform and a “dependable” operating environment – sure, ok (blue screen of death). Works will offer, of course, your typical word processing and spreadsheet programs, while Windows Live brings to the table online email, instant messaging and photo management.
