Dell has some new eco-friendly monitors in the P2210, E190S and E170S. The 22″ P2210 will give you a resolution of 1,680 x 1,050 pixels, along with a range of viewing-angle adjustments. Connectivity includes VGA, DVI-D with HDCP and DisplayPort. You’ll also get four USB 2.0 ports to seal the deal

The 19″ E190S features a 1,280 x 1,024 resolution, an 800:1 contrast ratio and 250 cd/m2 brightness. While the 17″ E170S is pretty similar to the E190S, just smaller. It packs a resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 and a VGA port. All three monitors meet EPEAT Gold and Energy Star standards, so you rest easy and know that you are doing your part to help the environment.

Samsung is showing their love for the environment with the release of two more eco-friendly LCD displays in Korea. They’re in the SyncMaster 70 series with 20″ and 23″ sizes. The LCD displays will come with ToC (Touch of Color) Design and boast that they will suck up to 33% less energy compared to average LCDs.

If that turns out to be true, that’s pretty good. We like to see less waste. Aside from this power-saving feature, there aren’t any other details on this pair. Just a contrast ratio of 50,000 to 1 and a 2ms response time.

This concept takes green to a whole new insane level. The Natural Year Phone concept from designer Je-Hyun Kim makes sense since most of us replace our cellphones at least every two-years or so. A phone constructed mostly of all natural material like hay would certainly be Earth Friendly.

That natural material just happens to look a lot like pot. You may also notice that a piece has been broken off. No doubt destined for the bowl of some homemade pipe. All I can say is that if you want to use this phone, don’t leave it laying around anywhere near your stoner friends.

Here’s Sony Ericsson’s GreenHeart concept. The handset was made using bio-plastic casing and keypads that can be easily recycled. The GreenHeart even comes bundled with a new charger that is smart enough to turn itself off when the phone is fully recharged. Environmental concerns even extend to the user’s manual which is entirely HTML-based to save paper, thereby saving trees. Add in environmentally conscious packaging, and some hippies might let go of the tree they’re hugging in order to get one. The Sony Ericsson GreenHeart is only a concept, but it shows a new greener direction.
