If you are ready to get in on some 802.11n action, then check this out. Cisco has announced the Linksys E-Series line of routers for your home, apartment, small business, or cave with an electrical outlet. They all feature the new Cisco Connect software, which has parental control and a separate password-protected guest network.

These good looking routers are priced between $80 and $180. Select models include Gigabit Ethernet, UPnP AV Media Server, external storage via USB, Linux, and more.

Sony’s VAIO E Series laptops have arrived and they are full of color. These 15.5 inch laptops come in a wide range of colors, where you can mix and match the lid and keyboard. Inside it’s packing a 2.13GHz Core i3 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a DVD burner and a 500GB hard drive.

There’s no word on a Core i5 version, but I’m sure we’ll see them soon. You can pre-order one now and they will ship in March for about $800.

BenQ’s latest entries in the LCD monitor universe consists of two models that flesh out the E Series family with the E2220HD and E2420HD. They aren’t terrible looking and both sport the following features:

If you love music but can’t afford that OLED walkman, this new device might be for you. The Walkman E-Series Video MP3 players have just been announced for Europe. They come in either Black or Red, with a five band EQ, support for rights-managed WMA and WMV files, and an FM radio tuner with one-touch recording.

It will be available overseas from the end July. Nothing on price or when we might see this one stateside. It has an interesting look even if it doesn’t sport OLED. Not sure I like those Mickey Mouse ear buttons though.

Ford and Sprint are working hand in hand to connect upcoming Ford trucks to Sprint’s wireless broadband network. Specifically the dashboards of 2009 F-Series trucks and E-Series cargo vans. To start with they are aiming this at Construction workers.

It will help them track stuff like inventory and schematics. Not sure how they are going to do that on such a small screen, but that’s the plan. Ford boasts that the user can “review and edit graphically-rich blueprints” right from the cab of their truck.

Coming out later this month in the land of the rising sun are Sony’s new E Series Walkman DAPs and if you don’t pay attention, you might mistake one for a USB drive.

These trim beauties will come in three memory sizes (1 GB, 2 GB and 4 GB) and in five metallic colors (black, gold, pink, blue and purple.) Weighing in at just 29 grams they can play MP3, AAC, WMA and ATRAC files using Sony’s Clear Audio technology and, of course, dock right into any USB port.
