Nintendo planning its own Dsi App Store?Nintendo may be planning an app download service of its own, and has been encouraging developers to come up with app-like content for the DSi. We can’t really say it’s a surprise since everyone else seems to be either already doing it or planning on doing it.

The Japanese version of the DSi already connects to the DS Shop and DSi Ware, Nintendo’s gaming store. But according to a developer, the company is hoping to get some non-gaming stuff on the device. You know, the kind of stuff that that fits and enriches your lifestyle.

Audio-Technica's PSP & DSi friendly headphonesDo you use stock headphones instead of a high quality pair when you play on your portable? If you are looking for a high quality pair, Audio Technica has introduced a new series of 4 headphones specially designed for portables, specifically the PSP and DS/DSi.

The ATH-EQ300G, ATH-C100G, ATH-C500G and ATH-CK300G will allow you to control the volume from the headphones themselves instead of using hardware or software controls. They also have a unique and hopefully comfortable shape. We don’t have a price yet, but they’ll be available in April in Japan.

Posted in Nintendo DSi by Conner Flynn on February 19th, 2009

Nintendo DSiThose of you wanting to preorder the Nintendo DSi before the April 5th US date can now do so as Amazon and GameStop are both accepting preorders. We’re talking $169 for the base system from both retailers, but GameStop has no problem upping the price with some bundled accessories.

Try to contain yourself as you decide which of it’s two colors to choose. Why they would limit the colors for it’s release is anybody’s guess, but I don’t like blue and black damnit! The question of the day is this. Will the limited color choice influence whether you will buy one or not?

Possible Nintendo DSi price and release date

Possible Nintendo DSi price and release dateIf you believe the guys over at IGN, it seems that Nintendo’s DSi will be dropping much sooner than anyone had thought. There’s also a rumored price for the new DSi. IGN’s sources put the DSi’s release somewhere around April 4. The price is apparently going to be $179.99. It’s much higher than the DS Lite at $129.99 due to the DS Lite’s popularity. So, they want to squeeze some extra Mario coins out of ya.

Nintendo wants buyers to see the DS Lite as the system for casual gamers and the DSi to be seen as the system for serious gamers. Looks like the info is dead on, but until Nintendo makes an official announcement, it’s still speculation.

Nintendo DSi announced by Nintendo to launch in Japan November 1After numerous information leaks about an updated version of the DS, Nintendo has now officially announced the release of the Nintendo DSi. The DSi, is the third iteration of the handheld game console and the company has managed to pack even more features into the device while even making it slightly smaller.

The new DSi looks very similar to the DS Lite with the same clamshell design and dual screens but the chasis is about 2.6mm thinner. They’ve also made the dual screens a little larger, bringing them from 3 inches to 3.25 inches, but that’s those aren’t the most interesting features of this new handheld console.
