No surprises here. The Droid Pro will hit Verizon tomorrow, with pre-sales at selected Verizon Wireless stores and the carrier’s online store. It will hit the real store shelves on November 18th. The price is $179.99 on a two-year contract, with a $100 mail-in rebate.

The Droid Pro is great for business types with it’s unusual portrait QWERTY keyboard as well as a dual-mode CDMA/GSM wireless chip. Other features include a 3.1-inch display, 1GHz of processing power, and a 5 megapixel autofocus camera.

DROID Pro launching on Verizon for $299 on 2-Year Contract?

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on October 24th, 2010

Motorola’s Droid Pro worldphone has been spotted at a Verizon test website for $299 on-contract and as much as $700 unsubsidized. If the 1GHz unit arrives as shown without a rebate, it would be the most expensive Android handset offered, at $50 more than Samsung’s $250 Epic 4G.

That’s pretty strange for a 320 x 480 resolution phone without a huge Super AMOLED screen. This pricing may just be preliminary though. We should find out soon at any rate. Hopefully it will be cheaper.

The folks over at Boy Genius Report have received some inside information about some new Android smartphones and tablets that are headed to Verizon Wireless. Looks like there will be a Motorola Droid Pro with a 4 inch display, a 1.3GHz processor, and global roaming, that should be set to launch in November 2010.

There will also be a business edition of the Motorola Droid 2, with a world edition global roaming feature, plus it looks like there may also be an Android based tablet, or maybe a slab style touchscreen smartphone.
