DROID Charge Launching April 28, DROID Bionic Originally Scheduled for May 12?

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on April 18th, 2011

The DROID Charge should be available next Thursday, according to a device lineup sheet from Costco. In fact next Thursday should be huge with the launch of the Incredible 2, the Charge and then maybe even the Xperia PLAY. That is going to be quite a launch day.

Much like the Bionic Man decades before it, the DROID Bionic was rumored to be canceled, but just like Steve Austin it has apparently risen from the ashes and is evident on the device lineup sheet with a May 12 date. Cue up the Six Million Dollar Man sound effects. Looks like they have plenty of time to sort out whatever it was that was causing problems with the device.

Prices and release dates for the HTC Merge and Droid Bionic are still unknown, but you can at least start thinking about the accessories. That’s because Best Buy’s mobile accessories site is now listing both phones, with pictures.

There is no new info about the handsets themselves, but this must mean a release very soon. Head on over to the Best Buy site and have a look for yourself. At least you can start shopping for add-ons.

Droid Bionic shows up on Amazon for $149

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on February 1st, 2011

The Motorola Droid Bionic is now making an appearance on Amazon with a $150 price tag, with contract of course. Sadly the product page was removed shortly after word spread, but screenshots had already been captured and it’s existence proven.

The price could change over the next few months and that number could be just a place-holder, but $150 sounds pretty awesome to us. It’s supposed to arrive in May or June.
