PlayStation Network down again

Posted in PS3 by Reuben Drake on April 21st, 2011

Looks like a whole bunch of users are reporting that they are unable to log in to the PlayStation Network again. This after outages that “anonymous” claimed responsibility for. Sony acknowledges that there’s a problem saying that “We’re aware certain functions of PlayStation Network are down”.

They promise an update on the situation as soon as possible. But that statement was issued over nine hours ago and there’s still no change in the situation. Hopefully they fix it soon.

It appears that Hulu has some tough times ahead. The popular video streaming site used to be the number 2 video site behind YouTube, but not anymore. It is not as popular as we thought according to the Los Angeles Times.

According to the report, the numbers of viewers over at Hulu has plunged 45 percent and dropped to 24 million in June. But is it really that bad? It should be noted that this is following an overhaul of “ComScore’s methodology”, now ranking it at No. 10 among video websites.

Xbox slims down, won’t play 360 titlesWhen a company like Microsoft won’t deliver a slimmer console, a modder will show them how it’s done. Coca627 modified his original Xbox into the Xbox Slim, measuring a trim 10.2″ x 2.3″ x 9″ compared to the original measurements of 12.5″ x 4″ x 10.5″. It’s undergone some weight loss too, weighing in at just 4 pounds. The original was a hefty 8.5 pounds.

Inside the Xbox Slim, you won’t find the gooey remnants of slimfast. Instead there’s a new DVD/CD-R slim combo drive, 2.5″ 60GB hard drive and integrated Wi-Fi networking, plus a built-in receiver for a Logitech wireless controller. The only downside is that it plays only the original Xbox games, but what are you gonna do? It looks pretty sweet.
