Halloween is almost here and while we all have a healthy fear of witches,ghosts,monsters and zombies, it’s robots that we should really be afraid of. Robots are capable of killing every creature on that list and then turning on us.

That’s why I’m proposing that we phase out all of the old monster decorations and Jack-o-lantern faces and replace them with robots. If you don’t fear them now, you will wish you had feared them sooner one cool October night when a red-eyed robot TPs a house with your intestines.

It’s time for our weekly roundup of everything robot. Another Easter has come and gone without a robot attack. For this we are thankful. It looked like this might be the year that cyborg bunnies finally made their move and started churning real peeps into Easter peeps. But nope. Nothing. When you get two nerd things in one, the result is always awesome. Tesla coils are cool. Tesla coils in a Doctor Who episode is cool. Tesla coils playing the Doctor Who theme is completely nerdgasmic.

ArcAttack uses a unique DJ system combined with the Tesla coils to put on a music show with lightning bolts and synthesizer sounds. I ask you fellow geeks, have you ever heard anything so beautiful?

It’s Friday night. You’re home in your nerd pajamas and waiting for your favorite geek show to come on the Sci-Fi channel. You have a coke chilling in your Tardis micro-fridge. Champagne is chilling in your Tardis ice bucket, you know, just in case that hot neighbor chick who doesn’t know you exist, shows up looking for company. You’ve already tried to lure her in your shed, to no avail.

The only thing left to do is make sure your gadgets are charged up and plugged into your 4 port Tardis USB hub. You can’t help but contemplate your loneliness while sampling it’s authentic sound effects. Yep, $29.99 was a steal. The shows coming on. Then it will be time to argue on some forums and then it’s time to sleep the cold and lonely sleep of the geek. For tomorrow you set out on your quest to find some female friends.

There’s always room for dessert and nothing beats a fresh and cleverly made geek cake. In recent years “Geek cakes” have become an art form, hopefully not your pet name used by your significant other. One thing is certain, if geeks love a thing, chances are it will become a cake. So, we wanted to take a look at some of our favorite geek desserts and celebrate the clever bakers and icing artists that make geek birthdays and weddings just a bit more fun. Traveling through time and space can make a Timelord mighty thirsty. Hell, a nerd can get pretty thirsty just watching it. Well, now you can add this Doctor Who Tardis USB micro fridge to your ever growing collection of Tardis themed items.

This fridge will hold a 12 ounce can of soda, though you’d think it would hold a six-pack since it’s supposed to be bigger on the inside and all. It feature a flashing Tardis light and 30 seconds of Tardis sound effects. Whether your drink goes back and forth in time when the doors are closed is uncertain. The Tardis USB Micro Fridge will be available soon and will retail for $44.99.

Check out this limited edition RC Dalek all polished and buffed to blind it’s enemies and make the Doctor stop and check his hair in it’s reflection. This particular Dalek is based on the “Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD” movie. It’s 12-inches tall, radio-controlled and features a pullback motor with realistic Dalek action. I assume that means it yells “exterminate” and generally tries to kill anything different then itself. Also has a built-in speaker that plays you quotes from the movie.

This my friends is shiny Dalek bling for eager geek hands. And since it’s very special and ultra shiny, only 1,000 are made. Should be available in August 2008, and can be pre-ordered for $99.99.

I’m pretty sure this item was created when the Tardis was whisked away to an alternate universe. The doctor tried to course correct by hitting the main console with a hammer, which had the strange effect of reversing the Tardis’ inside with the Tardis’ outside. So what you were left with was the icy cold and blackness of space inside the tardis, while the universe outside was now the Tardis interior.

Weird. I forget how they got out of that one, but what I can tell you is that this Tardis Ice Bucket is perfect to have on hand while serving ice cold drinks and trying to get Rose Tyler drunk. It only costs £17.99. Brilliant!

Sheds are not gadgets, but sheds do house and hold many of our gadgets. Over at an interesting site called Readers Sheds they like to showcase all kinds of sheds.

One that comes up again and again is the Tardis. They have literally appeared everywhere throughout the UK. Apparently these sheds are also capable of being bigger on the inside and get frequently attacked by Daleks.

The tardis is flying out of out control. It was driven off course by an unknown force. Finally it lands. Ah, 19th century London. As you exit the door, you’re pleased to see that it all looks about right…Until you see one of these. Then another. And another. Something is very wrong with this time-line. But even as your brain processes the danger, you can’t help but admire the workmanship. You notice it has wheels, so they won’t be climbing any stairs again. Nothing else to do, but go have your adventure.

Can you believe this thing? It’s a model from Alex Holden. He modded the hell out of a bottle of Dalek bubble bath to create this beauty, adding all kinds of detail.

Kittiwat Unarrom has a master’s degree in fine arts and enjoys making body parts out of bread at a bakery in Thailand. Very realistic and disturbing body parts. They’re made out of dough, raisins, cashews and chocolate. He even paints the outside with edible paint to give it an even more gruesome appearance.

What do I think about it? I’m still trying to figure out why these bread heads look like Sontarans.(A popular Doctor Who villian as any geek knows) They’re horrible. And it doesn’t help that those aluminum plates look like collars. If these things come to life and take over the world, I just wanted you to see who your new masters were.

Any fan of Doctor Who knows that the Sonic Screwdriver can open all kinds of locks and it acts as a screwdriver, wrench and all around locksmith. Now you can have your own. It might not do everything it does on the show, but it works as a hidden ultraviolet pen with a special UV light.

You’ll be able to scribble secret messages which can only then be revealed using the sonic screwdriver. It also features sound effects you know, for your geek play time when you want to pretend. It also includes a spare standard ink nib and a wipe on wipe off psychic note pad. The Sonic Screwdriver retails for £9.99. It won’t get you a pretty companion to travel space and time with.

Here’s an awesome replica of Doctor Who’s Tardis. This one won’t time travel and it’s not bigger on the inside then on the outside. But it does have retro gaming which is kind of like time travel. It was designed and built by ubergeek Simon Jansen. Jansen had a spare computer sitting around, a love for Doctor Who and a whole lot of time on his hands.

The Tardis has a computer inside, with arcade-style controls. The light on top of the TARDIS even lights up. If you want to build your own, Jansen provided step-by-step instructions so anyone can do it. Geeks the world over salute you sir.
