DivX and Yamaha offer new DivX Plus HD Certified Blu-ray Disc Players

IFA 2010 has brought us quite a bit of gear. You can also add the Yamaha DivX Plus HD Blu-ray player initiative to the list. They feature 1080p HD video compression with the help of a MKV container that’s incorporated in these Blu-ray players.

These are not only 3D-ready, but will also boast universal playback (BD, SA-CD, DVD-Audio/Video, CD) for a variety of media and formats. You can pick up the BD-S1067 in Europe and Yamaha intends to launch additional DivX HD Certified Blu-ray player models in North America.

LG’s WiFi-enabled, DivX-friendly BD390 Blu-ray player

lg_bd390-blu-ray-deckLG has released the world’s first DivX HD 1080p certified player, the BD390. The player debuted at CES earlier this year and is now making its way out to consumers. It features an 802.11n Wi-Fi module and support for DivX streaming from a DLNA server.

Priced at $399.95, the LG BD390 also features BD-Live support, a 7.1-channel audio output, a 1GB of built-in memory, and a USB 2.0 socket.

Samsung Micro Projector MBP200 now available

SamsungThe Samsung MBP200 comes with a Projection Panel with a HVGA resolution of 480×320, and a 2.2” 320×240 QVGA LCD. It also supports a standard 3.5 mm stereo earphone jack, with support for MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, WAV playback. You’ll get support for DivX, Xvid, WMV9 Simple Profile, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 formats and it has a microSD slot to support cards up to a 16GB capacity.

The Samsung MBP200 was announced a while back, at the last CES, but it finally has a price and a release date. Which are May and around $637. Sadly, it’s only bound for select European markets for the moment.

D-Link MediaLounge DSM-330

D-Link said today it is ready to debut its first “DivX Connected” device in the United States. It is called the D-Link MediaLounge DSM-330 and pricing is set around $300.

The D-Link MediaLounge DSM-330 is a high definition media set-top player which uses DivX Connected as “a  powerful, open media platform that allows consumers to experience and control PC-based digital media on their television using a remote control.” This device, like similar players, lets one stream digital media content from a PC to a television.
