This wearable gadget has improved optics and will offer a better viewing experience. The most important aspect however, is the style change. The older models of the VR system looked like Geordi LaForge’s visor from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

This new design is cool enough that people might actually wear them. Vuzix promises the optics are much improved and that you will actually feel like you’re watching a real screen. Previous versions had a poor POV that didn’t live up to its goal of immersive-style entertainment.

Retro Pin Art clockCheck out this retro Pin Art Clock. 3000 pins will tell you the time. It’s like you have Pinhead from Hellraiser trapped in a box and he’s forced to rear his head to tell you what time it is.

“Inspired by the popular Pin Art toy that uses moving pins to form the impression of one’s hand, this creation makes watching the clock a mesmerizing experience. The minutes click ahead with a sound that evokes the classic flip of the numbers at airports or train stations, combining aural ambience with visual style.”

Skull belt buckle MP3 player with LED displayThis Heavy Metal-esqe skull belt buckle will make your crotch more hardcore and play music. It holds your pants up while holding 1GB of tunes. It also displays LED light patterns, but can’t do so while playing music. The manufacturer claims that it can also be used “as a handheld weapon,” though I’m not sure how that works.

Maybe it distracts your opponent with it’s light show. Maybe you’re opponent will feel sorry for you and your fashion sense, giving you an opening to undo your belt and give them a beat down complete with soundtrack and flashing lights. You can get it now at wholesale, but do you really want to be that guy?

E Ink electronic paper display for phones
We’ve seen E ink used on watch faces, but did you expect to see it on your phone? E Ink is thinking about introducing it’s E Ink Vixplex Imaging Film for the outer display in future clamshell handsets. Pretty cool idea and very easily done since e-ink only consumes power when the image changes.

The first two handsets that will feature the technology are the Hitachi W61 and the Casio Model G’zOne. The displays are said to be clearly visible even under direct sunlight, which gives the user a viewing angle of up to 180-degrees. It’s sure to be a big hit as users love to personalize their phones.

ZTC ZT598 dual input phoneZTC released the ZT598, a dual input phone with the touch display hiding behind the number pad, which flips open. Another strange but interesting feature are the 7 LEDs on both sides, which blink along with your music, attracting you like shiny bright consumer bait.

Maybe I only enjoy Life cereal. What’s it to ya?
