Microsoft’s Courier tablet took us all by surprise. Now an internal video has surfaced showing how Microsoft thinks we’ll use Courier, giving us an overview of the interface and more of Courier’s features. At the core of the Courier is the “infinite journal”, a journal/scrapbook that is endless, presumably bound only by storage. The journal can be published online, and it’s able to be downloaded in three formats: a Courier file, Powerpoint or PDF. There’s also a library where things like subscriptions, notebooks and apps, are stored.

It also shows some more traditional elements like a smart agenda, more defined folder system, universal search and multi-page web browsing. Nothing about viewing content, like watching movies, reading books etc. It looks like Courier is all about creating and writing with a pen, which is not what we are used to, especially when you think about the Apple tablet.

BGR has gotten their hands on all the information you really want to know about the Samsung Rogue. So we now have all of the little details and specs that may or may not sway you to go Rogue.

First of all it sports a weird keyboard layout that includes directional keys as well as 6 physical function buttons on the sides. We aren’t sure how you can hold the thing without pushing them. The complete specs are shown in the photo above.

We have some more details on HTC’s upcoming high end smartphone, the HTC Leo, including some new pictures. Here’s the skinny: The HTC Leo runs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, is only 11mm thin, features a 4.3 inch screen, and will run Windows Mobile 6.5, as well as sporting a 5 megapixel camera with built in auto focus and a 2 LED flash.

Some other specs include HSDPA connectivity, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1. No word on pricing or an exact launch date, but we are looking at September or October.

We have some more specs for the Samsung Comeback, like this quality image with official specifications. As you can see, the Comeback looks a lot like a Sidekick. The features are pretty vanilla, but this might be an affordable texting/email phone. It sports a 2MP camera, microSDHC slot (up to 16 GB), Bluetooth and WQVGA resolution on the main display.

Can your fingers handle the navigation on the right and a QWERTY keyboard? Rumor was that it may launch today, but we haven’t heard anything yet.

According to Kotaku, Sony is touching base with developers and apparently the controller will launch in Spring 2010 (Next year’s E3 sounds right.) . Sony says that the controller will function “with any games across all genres from casual to [hard]core”.

To refresh your memory, the controller will work with Sony’s Eye camera and microphone, which will add face and voice recognition and make the motion tracking more accurate. Sony apparently told developers that the DualShock “could” be used along with the motion controller, much like how Nintendo uses the Wiimote and Nunchuck.

Large LCDs are a great way to get more information on your screen at once. Even better than a single large LCD is several large LCDs, the catch is finding room on an average desk to sit more than one 24-inch screen.

Steelcase offers all sorts of office chairs and other furniture and has announced a new LCD arm called the Eyesite. The arm can be configured to support up to three 24-inch LCDs in16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios. When not needed the arm also folds almost flat to give more desk space.

Samsung is planning the launch of new Android phones codenamed Spica and Bigfoot in Q3. Specifically September. Both of these phones will be built on Android OS version 2.0, which is codenamed Donut. Except for the size and shape, both phones have roughly the same specs:

115.7×53x16.3mm, GSM Quad-band, HSDPA 900/1700/2100, 3″ QAVGA LCD display, 3Megapixel Camera, 1500 mAh battery, 100MB + Micro SD slot, USB 2.0, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS+Compass, OS: Android “donut”, Accelerometer. Supposedly the Samsung Bigfoot will be more of a gaming oriented device, while the Samsung Spica will be an affordably priced mass market device.

Ready for another Sidekick rumor? This one’s from the desk of a T-Mobile employee. It’s an internal memo that leaks new information on the newest Sidekick. It’s dubbed the Sidekick LX and will feature a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS, a QWERTY and a “stunning” swivel screen that claims to be sharper than its predecessors.

Another interesting piece of info is that the Sidekick supposedly has Facebook, MySpace and Twitter applications pre-installed. So the LX will have some decent Internet connectivity.

MTV Games, Harmonix and EA have come forward with some info today just to tease you until the 09.09.09 launch. Apparently the Limited Edition Premium Bundle will include the game, a Höfner Bass, a microphone, microphone stand, some “additional special content” and… Beatles-inspired, Ludwig-branded Rock Band 2 drums, with a pearl finish and vintage replica Beatles kick drum head.

The bundle is scheduled to launch worldwide this September, with US price of $249, Europeans will pay €199 and those in the UK will pay £179. As an added and lame bonus, North American and European fans who pre-order any version of the game will be eligible to join the The Beatles: Rock Band Pre-Order Club and “receive breaking news and access to exclusive game elements including art and behind-the-scenes footage directly from MTV Games and Harmonix.”

Yesterday we took a look at LG’s somewhat familiar Arena KM900 phone, and now more details are available, though LG is still keeping a few things to themselves.

Looks like this one will feature GSM/UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a high-resolution 3-inch 800×480 touchscreen display and mobile TV. Apparently the phone measures only 11.5mm thick, just a tad slimmer than the iPhone. Folks in Europe may get it as soon as next month from T-Mobile Germany. Stay tuned for more on this one.

The battery in Apple’s new 17″ MacBook Pro is pretty amazing. With a single charge it can power the notebook for about eight hours while using the NVIDIA 9400M graphics processor or seven hours while the 9600M GT chip is at work. Also, it has a charge cycle life of 1,000 charges which is a quantum leap ahead of a standard laptop battery.

But no matter how good the specs are, it’s bound to have problems. Most likely problems will occur after the one-year battery warranty has expired. This one can’t be replaced by end-users, so what happens if it dies after the five-year lifespan and you want to swap it out for a new one ? (Even though chances are you’ll have a new notebook by then)

Looks like Sony has gotten all official on us, even though everyone already knew that this Netbook was real. Sony’s hyped-up Vaio P Netbook weighs under 1.4 pounds, is under an inch thick, and it packs in an 8-inch screen with a 2.08:1 aspect ratio (1600×768!).

The netbook also sports Verizon WWAN 3G mobile broadband, has a keyboard that’s 10% smaller than the Vaio TT and 802.11n wi-fi. It also comes with an instant start OS that lets you access music, internet and email without fully booting Windows Vista. As you might expect, the Sony Vaio P will be available in several colors. Five to be exact. Red, green, black, white and onyx.

We told you about this dual-screened ThinkPad a few days ago, but now more details have come to light. The W700ds comes with your choice of Intel Core 2 Quad processors and is combined with the NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M GPU. RAM maxes out at 8GB and SSD / HDD storage maxes out at 960GB.

The primary 17-inch screen is supposed to be the brightest on the market, and if that’s not drool-worthy enough, it sports an integrated WACOM digitizer. The 11 pound laptop starts at $3,600, so you’d better start saving your money for January it ships.

Living room DJ’s can now also be poseurs, joining the ranks of plastic guitar Gods everywhere. After two years of development, the “controller” for the new game is basically a “simplified DJ deck” as you might expect. You get a platter for scratching; sampling buttons; cross fader; and a sound effects dial which is the equivalent of the whammy bar in Guitar Hero.

It should hit shelves this summer and word is it will include the ability to use Guitar Hero guitars for versus mode face-offs. No flowing musical notes gliding down a guitar neck here. Instead, DJ Hero will flow the music down and around a virtual record in a half arc. Either left top to middle bottom if you are left handed, or right top to middle bottom if you are right handed. Wannabe DJ’s I’m sure have been waiting for this, as for the rest of you, do you guys have any room left in your home after buying all the other games?

Here’s some info on the BlackJack III. Apparently the carrier will be AT&T in October with a full version of Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Word on the street is that it has a 3 MP camera, 528 Mhz processor, aGPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, and more. Apparently, it’s a “rebadged” version of the Samsung i788. The question is, how much do you want to pay and what is the price. It’s not for everyone, but I know some of you have been really waiting for it.
