Land Meter dashboard inclinometer from UxSightUxSight has a new device called the Land Meter that will let you know exactly how your car or truck is tilting. It gets power straight from your cigarette lighter and the Land Meter sits on your dashboard so that you will always know what kind of incline you are on.

The Land Meter measures just 124mm x 57mm x 80mm and sticks to your dashboard using a self-adhesive bottom, so it won’t off on a steep incline. It costs £12 and is probably great for off-roaders.

Xbox Live Dashboard update coming August 11thThe Xbox 360’s next Xbox Live update is coming on August 11. Microsoft confirmed today the launch of the new Xbox Live Games On Demand service, which will launch with more than 30 games. Some examples include Assassin’s Creed, BioShock, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Mass Effect, and Sonic The Hedgehog.

The 11th also brings the introduction of Netflix party support, which allows multiple people to watch Netflix movies together. Also, the Avatar marketplace will launch, offering virtual versions of things like an RC Warthog from Halo.

Ford offering 3G-connected dashboards in 2009 trucksFord and Sprint are working hand in hand to connect upcoming Ford trucks to Sprint’s wireless broadband network. Specifically the dashboards of 2009 F-Series trucks and E-Series cargo vans. To start with they are aiming this at Construction workers.

It will help them track stuff like inventory and schematics. Not sure how they are going to do that on such a small screen, but that’s the plan. Ford boasts that the user can “review and edit graphically-rich blueprints” right from the cab of their truck.

Xbox 360 dashboard update in NovemberMicrosoft has confirmed that the Fall Xbox 360 Dashboard Update will be arriving in November. I guess that’s still fall, but it’s pushing the limit. Previous updates have also been released in November so it’s not that unusual, and all the new features might have caused it to be delayed even more, so consider it a good thing that they have announced a date. In the meantime those sick of waiting for their avatars always have the Wii.

Despite the fact that driving requires all of your attention, you still crave that screen, that contact, you don’t want to miss out on anything damnit! There’s no need to suffer withdrawal symptoms while in your vehicle any longer thanks to the Navisurfer II.

It’s a complete PC that can be installed in your car and it only takes up a single DIN slot in your car’s dashboard, which is the same size as a typical car stereo. It even features a flip-out touchscreen 7-inch color display, with 800 x 480 resolution. It will run either Windows XP or Linux as the OS. The Navisurfer II also has all of the software applications that you would want in your car, like media player, GPS navigator, rear view camera, plus an application for displaying vehicle diagnostic information.
