Sony Ericsson’s latest cell phone headed to the US is the CS8. Congratulations are in order as it’s just gotten FCC approval. Sony Ericsson bigwigs are passing around the cigars and letting the booze flow. What a moment. Someone is surely photocopying their butt in celebration.

The 8.1 megapixel slider comes with myFaves support along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS navigation. We don’t know when the Cyber-shot line handset will be available, but it should be soon. They grow up so fast and set out on their own.

Sony Ericsson’s let another one out of the bag before the official announcement. In this case, it’s a nice looking slider called the Cyber-shot C905, apparently codenamed “Shiho.” Assuming the rumors are true, it’s pretty impressive. How about an 8.1 megapixel camera with xenon AND LED flash, for all of your still and video capture needs, throw in GPS, TV out, DLNA certification, and HSDPA in either European and American. It should be announced on the 17th of this month, and available in gold, silver, and black in the fourth quarter.

These are some excellent renders, but unfortunately this is just a concept Sony Cybershot camera called ‘Snap’. It was obviously inspired by a man’s wallet, the surface is even covered in leather. Like some other ultra compact Cybershot cameras, you slide the cover to activate, only it pivots from a corner for easy one handed operation. But aside from that, it’s just another typical Cybershot.

Some users would really love the compact design as you won’t stand out as an obvious tourist while using it, while you take pictures inconspicuously. Others might find it a bit too fragile and wouldn’t be able to resist the urge to actually put it in their back pocket and break it.

Sony Ericsson extended their line of Cyber-shot cameraphones today with two new models - the C702 and the C902. The camera phones were both designed with different audiences in mind. The C902 is geared more towards looking good and taking high-quality photos while the C702 caters to those wanting to take their camera phone more places with quick, easy functionality.

The C902 Cyber-shot is a 5 megapixel cameraphone with sleek design and a slide-out lens cover. It features automatic face detection, a big flash and auto-focus and 160MB of internal storage, of which you can supplement with a Memory Stick Micro. Sony Ericsson says it will be available around the second quarter of this year and come in some stylish colors of Swift Black or Luscious Red.
