We’ve seen quite a few cuckoo clocks over the years, but nothing like this twitter clock. It’s called the Twitwee Clock, built by Haroon Baig. It uses an Arduino and an LCD to display incoming tweets, along with an old fashioned mechanical cuckoo to notify you of the Tweets.

If you get a ton of tweets, that could get annoying very fast. Sadly there are no plans for building your own, but if you are the industrious sort, you can probably find a way.

Cuckoo clocks are fun and amusing. At least they used to be. Not anymore. Not with this Cuckoo clock. This clock is all about the creepiness. It’s a miniature diorama of the “Heeere’s Johnny!” scene from The Shining. No little Cuckoo bird here, though.

Instead you get Jack Nicholson breaking through the door saying “Heeere’s Johnny!”. Shelly Duvall is also there, with a bad case of buttaface, letting out a scream. This happens every hour until you never want to see the movie again.

Imagine waking up to this thing blaring out tunes. Designed by French artist Stephane Vigny, the loudspeaker clock pretty much does what you’d expect it to do. It just does it without a cuckoo bird.

When the appropriate time comes, the doors flip open, the bottom woofer extends out and music is played loudly as you are shocked awake and take a hammer to the thing. It will wake up even the deepest of sleepers. I’ve never had the pleasure of waking up to this monstrosity and already I want this concept dead.
