Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 to launch at CTIA

Samsung is getting ready to launch its 8.9″ Tablet and so the company is sending out invitations to the CTIA media. As you can see on the invite, the number 78910 is displayed and we take that to mean 7″ 8.9″ and 10″, the whole Samsung Tab line up.

Speculation is that the Samsung 8.9″ Tablet will use Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). Not sure if it will have Tegra 2, or Samsung’s own chip. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 uses a Tegra 2, but Samsung also produces its own system on a chip (SoC).

PCD's twisting TXT8030At CTIA, PCD showed off the strange yet interesting looking TXT8030. The handset’s lower section features a gadget mullet, with business in front and a party in the back. On one side you get a QWERTY keyboard and on the other you have your speakers and the music controls.

The display is 2.2-inches, while the memory is expandable via microSD. It also packs a 1.3 megapixel shooter, and the whole deal is 4.5 inches long X 2.4 inches wide, X1/2 an inch thick. Nothing on pricing or availability, but we hope to see it one day soon.
