Corsair has been one of the top and most popular memory makers in the PC world for a long time. Some of the highest of high-end gaming PC makers use Corsair RAM in their machines. When the Intel Core i7 CPU and X58 chipset combo launched one of the bad parts was that the system required new low voltage RAM.

The Dominator GT RAM is designed for the i7 and X58 combo with low voltage requirement. The DDR3 RAM is available in triple-channel kits up to 6GB. Corsair uses its Dual-path Heat eXchange technology in the heat sink to keep the modules cool.

DDR3 RAM has been around for a while and enthusiast and gamers have been able to take advantage of DDR3 Ram with Intel chipsets for a while. With the 790i Ultra mainboard fans of NVIDIA chipsets could finally take advantage of DDR3. DDR3 RAM runs at speeds that DDR2 can only dream about and DDR3 is getting faster all the time.

Corsair has launched a new product in the Dominator DDR3 line with the part number TW3X2G2133C9DF. The kit includes two 1GB sticks of RAM that is verified to run at 2133MHz on 790i mainboards. The RAM also includes an Airflow Fan for better cooling.

Computer products company Corsair today unveiled a new compact flash drive which is rugged. It is called the Corsair Flash Voyager Mini and you’ll find it pricing around $30.

The Corsair Flash Voyager Mini is a 4GB USB flash drive which weighs only 5.4 grams and is about 1/3 the size of regular flash drives, according to Corsair. It is enclosed in an all-rubber housing, making it shock-proof and water-resistant.

Corsair is set to roll out to computer users a new 16GB “high performance” USB flash drive. It is called the Corsair 16GB GT Flash Voyager and pricing will be around $170.

Corsair has released some new versions if its Flash Voyager and Flash Survivor USB drives, both featuring capacities that are pumped up to as much as 32GB each. The Voyager model has a rubberized covering and looks like it might be waterproof, but its not. It’s actually designed to take the occasional drop and keep on ticking, which is really nice if you’re holding 32GB of data or a whole bootable OS in your hand. The Survivor has an aluminum casing and it is actually water resistant, letting you tote your 20 hours of outdoor video through the rain forest without worrying about destroying the data, or something like that.

Proving USB drives can both be ugly and functional Corsair rolled out today the Flash Padlock. This manual security code dependent device is available in 1GB ($30) and 2GB ($40) capacities.

What is perhaps most interesting about the Corsair Flash Padlock is that you can set a PIN up to 10 digits long for accessing the drive’s contents. You have to then enter this PIN on the keypad built into the drive’s body. The Flash Padlock also seems noteworthy for its security feature of automatically locking itself when you remove it from an attached PC.

For all of you heavy duty survivor types out there that need dependable technology for your spelunking, deep-sea diving or any other fun pastimes, Corsair claims to have created the world’s toughest flash drive.

The Flash Survivor sounds like it could survive a boat sinking or building detonation: it’s water resistant to a depth of 200 meters (or 20 atmospheres), encased in durable industrial grade aluminum, protected by a ring of rubber molding and surrounded by a metal tube with two end caps.
