Pioneer Japan has introduced a new series of compact cordless phones, dubbed the Pioneer TF-FN2000 series. This 2.4GHz cordless phone features an LED display, an answering machine, a call screening system and a hands-free mode. It certainly is unique looking.

The Pioneer TF-FN2000 delivers 6-hours of continuous talk time on a full charge and comes with a compact cradle and an ultra minimalistic handset. This device is available in black, white and red. It should be launched in Japan later this month.

Sharp is still trying to make the landline hip. They’ve kinda succeeded with this one. The new JD-4C1CL/CW is basically a typical cordless phone, but the docking station features a 4.3-inch digital photo frame and 64MB of internal storage space.

And it looks decent. Even stylish. We don’t have much more info right now, but we can tell you that it will ship in brown, red and white in April. We also don’t have a price. We do know that we like it.

First off, these phones are so long, they’re crazy. They look like a bunch of techno-cobras ready to strike, but kept at bay by a pair of lovely Asian ladies. So what’s the deal? These are from Bang & Olufsen, unique cordless telephones called BeoCom2 in Korea.

Each phone uses a single piece of curved aluminum to create a slender, though HUGE shape that’s easy to pick up, handle and operate with one hand. I suppose it would be good for seniors, or those with huge heads. Should you fall into one of those two categories, the BeoCom2 will be available in six different colors which will include white, blue, yellow, grey, black and natural aluminum. The Bang & Olufsen BeoCom2 is available for 1,790,000(KRW).

Now, here’s a great way to introduce those, um, older folks to things like IM conversations and the like. You won’t need one of those smartphones the kids are using these days. Now you can do IM conversations via a landline telephone. That’s right, this is the industry’s first instant messaging cordless phone.

The phone’s base station just has to be connected via USB to a PC, after which users can have free access to MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger.
