Let’s say you still have a huge library of cassette tapes for some reason. Maybe you just hate to part with them. Maybe you’re cheap and treat yard sales like your own private iTunes. Whatever. Here’s a quick way to digitize those old tapes into MP3 formats.

It’s the TapeLink from Alesis. The recorder will do more then just make a copy. It will virtually remove all hissing or other abnormalities in sound quality and convert them to MP3’s. Just plug it into the USB cable on your Mac or PC and you’re good to go. The bundled EZ Tape Converter makes transfer easy and convenient. The files can then be retrieved via USB on your computer to store on any device you want.

Nintendo really hit the mark with the Wii. Now all they have to do is sit back and laugh at every lame attempt by others to capitalize on their motion controller. Take this thing for instance. 3DiJoy has unveiled its FlingPC motion controller that is basically an accelerometer-equipped Bluetooth remote and a USB dongle.

For your $99 you’ll get ten custom (and rest assured crappy) 3D games. Just look at the image above. Asian babies love Wii knock-offs. They are a cheap gateway to the overpriced highs they’ll get from higher quality game systems once they reach puberty. This thing is compatible with both Linux and Windows platforms, but somehow we don’t see a large market outside of the Asian baby demo.

Nexcopy has introduced the new Secure Digital Duplicator, the SD200PC. It features advanced copy options, a small foot print and easy operation for an economical data loading and data distribution to SD flash memory. The idea is that this handy device will save you 100’s of hours in production time as well as 1,000’s of dollars in production costs. The software interface is supposed to be easy to use and it lets you copy up to 20 blank SD flash memory cards automatically. No “copy-n-paste” or single card loading. No hassles. It’s PC Based and will copy at maximum data transfer speeds.

This external burner from PLDS (Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions) makes the act of copying or backing up files to a CD or DVD very easy, so that anyone can do it. There are two touch sensitive buttons labeled DUB and FILE on the top of the burner. The FILE button brings up an application on your PC that looks like a large EZ-DUB icon. Just drag files directly onto this icon and they will be added to the “burn” queue. When you’re done you just hit the FILE button, insert a blank disc in the tray and it will burn what you just told it to burn.

You can get the EZ-DUB for $80. Duplicating a DVD or CD is just as easy. Maybe even easier. If you’re sick of people calling on you to do the job, this should help. Anyone can do it.
