Brando has a new cool gadget available. This time, they’re offering up a unique laptop cooler with USB Hub and HDD Slot built in. It measures 300mm x 252mm x 32mm and weighs 504grams. The device is equipped with three USB hubs, a 2.5-inch SATA HDD slot, and two fans to keep your laptop nice and cool.

You can plug in any 2.5 inch SATA hard drive to extend your storage when needed and it supports up to 250GB SATA HDD. Brando’s latest USB Notebook Cooling Pad retails for $33 and is a convenient gift to put under the tree this year.

The BoomCooler is exactly what it sounds like, a hybrid of a boombox and a cooler. Not to be confused by the BamCooler, which is how chef Emeril Lagasse keeps his tunes cool while shouting BAM. If you know a hillbilly or are a hillbilly, I think you found your next purchase. BoomCooler makes it easy to roll your tunes with you. You ARE the party. It sports two Sony Xplod 6” x 9” 240-watt max 4-way speakers, a 1100-watt max 10” Subwoofer and a 4-channel 600-watt amp. It’s also compatible with iPod, Sirius radio, MP3, CD and AM/FM radio.

There is however a slight catch. It won’t hold your beer. Dry goods only. Something tells me if you are buying this, you’ve got some contraband dry goods to put in it in place of your beer. It will be the best $900 you’ve ever spent. You can even sit your mullet-headed kid on it.

This R2-D2 compact fridge is hot as tatooine outside and cold as the ice planet Hoth inside, so it will impress your friends and keep your food fresh. It was made back in 2002 as a promotional item for an Attack of the Clones contest held at 7-11 Stores in Japan. Apparently only 1000 of these rare refrigerators were ever made, making it a hot and cool collectible at the same time.

Luckily for you, you can buy one from Toyeast for $1070. Of course, that is probably your grocery money so you won’t have anything to put in it. Empty or not, you’ll have your own astromech droid. Now you’ll just need an X-Wing to put him in.

One thing about R2-D2’s design that Lucas never anticipated was that it would provide so much versatility when decapitated. From the R2 ice bucket, to R2 speakers, this little droid loses his head all the time. I’m surprised he hasn’t been in a Highlander movie. C-3PO is the prissy effeminate one and he hasn’t had so much bad treatment.

Now headless R2 will serve you up some cold drinks as a USB cooler. It goes on sale August 8. All I know for sure is that somewhere there is a huge warehouse full of R2-D2 scalps. Some nerd will likely wander in one day and have a nervous breakdown at the horrible sight.

The way I see it, if sweaty palms are a problem for you, you can either keep a rosin bag next to your keyboard like Baseball pitchers use or you can get yourself a keyboard with air vents. Thanko has just such a keyboard, so stop being nervous and sweating through your hands already.
