PSP hits Europe with trio of new colorsTimes are tough and Sony knows that if it wants to sell PSPs(Believe me they want to sell some badly) they had better try some new tricks to entice buyers. And what could make the consumer want you more? Sony thinks that it’s all in the colors.

Sony is releasing the European PSP in three new colors to compliment the Carnival Colors we covered just a week ago. You’ll be able to get your PSP in Radiant Red, Mystic Silver and Pearl White. They might be trying a little too hard. Those color names sound like stripper names for Eighty-year-olds. In fact, I’m pretty sure Pearl White starred on The Golden Girls.

Casio Databank gets new colorsCasio’s watch calculators were all the rage back in the day. That was a few decades ago. Casio is hoping that those days might come again and so their Databank series now comes in a whole new variety of colors including black, green, orange and white.

Of course, these timepieces are not just watches, they also feature an 8-digit calculator, an automatic calendar and 25-page data storage. They’ll cost you $59 a piece, but if you like the classic pure-black version it will cost you another $10.

Crayola EZ Type keyboard

Crayola EZ Type keyboardThe Crayola EZ Type keyboard sure isn’t easy on the eyes. It’s great to use when you want your kids germy and sticky hands well away from your own keyboard. Alternately, it would be great for old people for the same reason, plus the colored keys are big and easy to read. Or maybe you just like your accessories to look like crayons. Either way, you can get it from Crayola for $29.99. Also great for those in clown college. I’m surprised they didn’t put that crayon sharpener on it somewhere like on the crayon box.

iPhone 3G: Now in technicolor
When gadgets need colors, who ya gonna call? Colorware of course. I know one thing, the iPhone 3G is in desperate need of a colorful upgrade.

For the price of $150, Colorware will give your iPhone 3G some color on it’s backside. For an extra $20 more, you can customize the button and frame. You’ll have a colorful iPhone sure, but when you factor in the price, your 3G will have cost you $150 more. Doh! It actually looks pretty pleasing in a lime and red and blue…

Stealth aircraft LED mouse gets new colors

Stealth aircraft LED mouse gets new colors
Remember that stealth aircraft mouse we told you about last year? It’s just zipped back into our skies with new color options. I still think it’s coolest in black. Anyway I know that many of you spend your days reliving scenes from Top Gun.

What better way to keep your friendlies and boogies straight then by having more colors? This way you can keep track of Jester and Maverick and whatever the hell other names they used in that 80′s movie. It beats the plain old mouse you’re using now right? Go get one for $18. And try to get that “Ride into the danger zone” song out of your head.

New DS colors confirmed for Europe
Remember those new DS colors that we told you about the other day? Looks like the rumors were true. For Europe anyway, which would explain why they showed up on a Spanish site.

Nintendo has begun distributing these advertisements which show some new colors for the European market. Europe needs some more colors too. They haven’t had as many as the U.S. No word on when they might hit here. These will hit stores on June 13th. Look at all those pretty colors. It’s like Easter without the eggs.

New DS Lite flavors: Cherry and Lime
A pair of new DS Lite flavors have been seen in the wild. And by the wild, I mean on some Spanish retail sites, in delicious looking cherry and lime candy colors. One of the sites is GAME, who are said to be the second-largest specialty gaming retailer worldwide, so we have good reason to think these beauties are real.

I guess we’ll know one way or the other on June 13, when they’re supposed to hit. It would be a real shame if these are not real though. These colors just make you salivate. I gotta have some candy around here somewhere. Damn! They just look so…Juicy.

For their 20 year anniversary they are releasing the M-EGUR series in six different colors. It’s being released in black, white, gray, blue, orange and pink and features three buttons, a scroll wheel and a glossy finish. It will be released mid May in Japan only for $29.

Colorware wants to pimp your DS Lite

Colorware adds some flair to your DS Lite
We love our gadgets to come in an assortment of colors. Hopefully they match our style or say something about us. To that end, Colorware will now spruce up Nintendo’s famed DS Lite. If Nintendo doesn’t offer a color to your liking, now’s your chance to do something about it. If you like, you can send in your current unit and receive it back in a whole new outfit. Or you can get a new DS Lite that’s already modified.

One cool aspect is that Colorware lets you paint the main frame, button pad, front port, bottom, L / R buttons and even the stylus separately…for and added fee. You could come up with some very cool and I suspect, also some very putrid combinations. Like the old Knight said to Indy…Choose wisely.

Nintendo wii remotes get color

Wiimotes get colorful
It was only a matter of time. After the initial success of any Nintendo product there follows a plethora of neat and nauseating colors upchucked onto the market. That time is at hand once again. There’s still no official word from Nintendo on anything but white Wii-motes, but now there is a third-party option for those of you bored with the standard white.

One of the first companies to offer a third-party substitute for the Wii-mote is Snakebyte. They are calling them Riimotes. They appear to look very close to the authentic Wii-motes, with the button design styles a bit different. The first models will be available either in a glossy black or a bright purple. Bright purple? Yuck! Maybe if you are playing a My Little Pony game…They should assault your senses in early February.
