Our controllers already vibrate, have six axises and can be swung around and thrown into our TVs, but what we are lacking is hot and cold sensations. Imagine yourself in an arctic level in a game and your controller gets cold. Or maybe it heats up while you travel a desert level. Temperature could really put you more in the game.

An experimental new video game controller was just revealed at this week’s SIGGRAPH conference that includes a pair of thermoelectric panels on each side of the controller. Those surfaces heat or cool rapidly in reaction to what’s happening in the game.

What do you do when your spouse is hot and you are cold? Turning the heat up or down unfortunately affects you both. The Chilipad is like an electric blanket capable of both hot and cold. It works by pumping water through a series of tubes and can keep everyone happy.

The manufacturers claim that it runs under 20dBa, which should keep things quiet. You can pick up the dual-zone pad, which allows you to adjust the temperature of both sides independently as mentioned. It’s not cheap, but its better than hearing your wife complain right?

So you want a nice cold beer, but all you have is warm. Well, there’s no need to pop them in the fridge and wait forever for them to get cold. The solution? A simple box with some ice in it that rotates your beer,getting it ice cold quick. Just 90 seconds apparently.

Sure, it’s work, but isn’t a cold beer worth it? It will cost you $15. And don’t think that you can just stick your beer in a bucket of ice and get the same result. Obviously the magic here is in the rotating. This is beer science. Don’t question it.

Is your faucet a stick or an automatic? Well, now you can have a stick shift on your sink thanks to this classy-looking design. That’s right, you can now change gears on your faucet. It’s pretty stylish and will leave other faucets in the dust.

The idea is that it would allow you to shift up the amount of water coming out of the faucet. Or down. Which is great for people looking to conserve water by staying in lower “gears,” but we can’t see how the temperature is controlled so this may be a big bust. Sure, it looks awesome, but that doesn’t count for anything if all you get is cold water.

Winter is on it’s way and text addicts will want to be prepared. When it gets cold, you’ll either have to pull your gloves off just to tap out a text message, or you can use Dots gloves and remain warm while texting away. When you have a nasty cold and are sneezing, the last thing you need is some joker mocking you. That’s exactly what this talking tissue box does. Instead of being neutral and silent while you cough and retch and sneeze, this little jackass mocks you by either coughing or sneezing each time you reach out for a tissue.
