You might remember this limited edition Super Famicom Classic Controller from back when it was available only to Club Nintendo members in Japan. Well now it’s available to you, thanks to Play-Asia. And they’ll even ship to the United States so you can add some old school to your Wii.

The bad news is that it will cost you just over $80 shipped, so you better really want it badly.

I am pretty lucky that I don’t have to wear a suit and tie to work everyday. But if I did have to, I would wear one of these classic gaming ties. Why not show your love of retro games as you toil the day away?

Created by Martjin Koch, the Retro Space pays honors the classic arcade cabinets of the past. It’s a nicely designed cabinet that fits right in today and would also be right at home in a smoky arcade of the 80′s. But it’s got more then looks going for it. It also features arcade-quality Sanwa joysticks and the buttons are mounted on an anodized aluminum control panel.

Of course the layout supports classic 1 & 2 person games and even has the very necessary trackball. Here’s the cool part, it includes over 100 licensed arcade classics AND suite of emulators. If that’s not enough, you can use it as an HD media jukebox for your music collection with 1080p video playback on a 24-inch 1920×1200 monitor. We want one. What’s a guy to do for a hobby when he has a love for both NES and Lego? Combine them of course. More specifically recreate all kinds of classic NES awesomeness using Legos. Scenes from such games as Metal Gear, Duck Hunt, Excitebike, Bionic Commando, Contra, Mortal Combat, Castlevania and more.

These aren’t just slapped together scenes either, but highly detailed snapshots of the game. It’s like a walk down memory lane using Lego vision. It must have taken him hours to do all the work. And a lot of game pausing.

We’ve seen Sci-Fi and gadget inspired cakes before. But a star Trek cake? That’s a new one to us. Check out this awesome cake replica of the original enterprise bridge, complete with crew. The creator runs a bakery in Baltimore and of course, is a Star Trek fan. He’s obviously good since the Food Network airs a reality show called “The Ace of Cakes” that focused on his bakery.

The show sometimes shows off specialty cakes and this one will be featured in an upcoming episode. It’s got Spock, Uhura, Chekov,Kirk and a thin looking Scotty not at his post. That is some amazing detail. It would be a pleasure to eat. As far as nerd cake goes, this is pretty awesome.

Normally, you could use Microsoft Excel to create that business model for your next multi-million dollar idea, or you could calculate last month’s sales for your other business, but I think the thing to do would be to play classic arcade games on it. Games should always win over business.

If you live in Japan, programming video games using Excel Visual Basic macros is kind of an art form. People over there have recreated everything from Pac-Man to Space Invaders and Missile Command. With nice detail I might add. How about a spreadsheet game of Donkey Kong, Dig Dug and Tetris? Even Arkanoid.
