The Amazon.com stock levels seem to confirm the notion as well, since it currently takes up to 5 weeks to get your 8GB second-gen iPod touch. It’ll take 3-5 weeks for the 16GB version.

It looks like the shortages may be model specific and color specific, as some are more popular. Wu concluded that Apple may very well sell 21 million iPods in the holiday quarter.

Rumor is that Blockbuster could roll out its own set-top box by the time the holidays are fully upon us, which would let users receive Movielink downloads in the comfort of their own living room. There isn’t much info available, but it will be interesting to see whether this rumor pans out or not. Netflix having some competition is probably a good thing, but Blockbuster will have to come up with something really interesting to even compete.

Walletex, the makers of the credit card sized MP3 players now have some neat Christmas versions available. Both Christmas and Hanukkah. The Hanukkah version features a dreidel and candles, while the Christmas version has classic scenes. Just store the MP3 player in your wallet. You could even give them out as expensive greeting cards, by putting photos and music on them.

How many times have you wished that you could turn off all of the lights on your Christmas tree just by blowing on an ornament? Surely I’m not the only one. Well, my prayers at least, have been answered. In years past, you had to unplug the extension cord from the wall or flick the switch to off. For some people that’s alot of work.
