Verizon Wireless and Nokia are so willing to bet you’ll be enamored with the upcoming Dark Knight movie the two are releasing a new limited edition mobile based upon it. It is called the Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight edition and you’ll find it pricing around $70 after rebate and two-year contract.

The Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight is a themed-edition flip phone set in black and embellished with a subtle The Dark Knight emblem. It comes pre-loaded with wallpapers, voice tones, animated screensavers inspired by the film, and a full movie trailer.

Verizon Wireless is out today with three new innovative LG phones which should do some fun shaking up of the cellular provider’s line up when they debut in the next month or so. They are the LG Dare, LG Decoy (pictured) and LG Chocolate 3.

The phones, said Verizon, will offer their customers “touch-screens, music and more.” We’ve put after the jump the snippets of the Verizon press release which briefly detail the new models.

Turtle Wireless, a provider of “novelty wireless accessories and phones” is indeed unveiling one such new novelty phone. It is a wearable mobile phone watch known as the TW801 and pricing is set for around $250.

The Turtle Wireless TW801 is a GSM mobile phone watch which has WAP/GPRS compatibility and built-in Bluetooth. It is designed to be worn like a wristwatch and sports a touchscreen design for interactions with it.

We loved the Ferrari cell phone and we knew that it was just a matter of time until more cars joined in on the fun. If you’re not the Ferrari type, or just need a new car to use as a cell phone, you might want to try an Audi or even a BMW.

You’re gonna look silly talking on it, that’s a given, but if you’re brave enough to buy it, you’re probably brave enough to use it in public. You can get the Audi in white and the BMW in black. Both sport touch screens, a 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3 player, 3GP and Mp4 support, Bluetooth and 1GB of memory. They’ll cost you $160 each and unlike the real deal are electric powered. Try not to get caught playing with them on your desk.

Boost Mobile is introducing to its line up of pay as you go mobile handsets the rugged new Motorola i335. The phone will cost you around $60.

The Motorla i335 is noted for having “military grade” durability and a thin candy bar design with textured backing and a rubber face. It has a walkie-talkie chatting function and also sports Bluetooth.

AT&T and Pantech have teamed to release a phone developed on the “principles of Universal Design — the practice of designing products and applications that are usable by the most customers possible.” What this essentially means is the two are debuting the Pantech Breeze, a simplified flip-phone priced at around $80 before rebate.

The Pantech Breeze offers as key Universal Design features, according to AT&T, a clean and uncluttered design, simplified menus, an oversized display with large keypad and quick-call keys. This is all part of this GSM quad-band world phone’s design.

Globwon Electronics is making available to overseas purchasers a new Chinese watch phone. It is called the Globwon ZTC-F1 and you’ll find it pricing around $225.

The Globwon ZTC-F1 is a quad-band, mobile phone which supports Bluetooth for hands-free calling and includes an integrated 1.3-megapixel digital camera. It’s also got FM radio capability and comes with a 1GB memory card.

LocaModa and Touch Tunes are doing the nasty together and plan on having a monster love child. The idea is to hook up to 30,000 jukeboxes to social networks, allowing them to be controlled remotely by cell phones. The partnership allows users to let their handsets interact with flat panel screens powered by TouchTunes jukebox’s media server.

Social networks will display all interactions as data feeds. Online users can view and participate at their favorite locations. Is this taking social networks too far? Where does it all end? I don’t know, but it looks like that Jukebox is in the middle of a Bermuda triangle type deal. Hope it doesn’t disappear.

Samsung announced today a bitching new touchscreen mobile which may very well get us to switch over to its exclusive wireless carrier Sprint. It’s called the Samsung Instinct and, sorry, there is no pricing as of yet.

The Samsung Instinct sports “localized tactile feedback, called haptics, which allow the virtual QWERTY keypad and other operations to become a sensory experience.” Sweet. It is also Sprint’s first EV-DO Rev A consumer focused mobile, meaning you can expect quicker load times for things like browsing the Web and streaming audio.

Kingston Technology is trying to connect with God knows which demographic by announcing today a microSD memory card preloaded with Ricky Martin material. You’ll find the Kingston 1GB microSD card with an accompanying USB reader kit available for around $11.

Now we really don’t have anything against Ricky Martin, but come on Kingston. This is a pretty lame promotion. If you must buy into it however you’ll find the 1GB microSD card loaded with Martin items like the tracks “Somos la Semilla,” “Tu Recuerdo,” concert images and a music video that opened his “Black & White” world tour.

AT&T and Motorola are bringing us a sweet new slider phone which will have a bounty of goodness associated with it, including GPS. It is called the Motorola MOTO Z9 and will cost you around $250 after a two-year agreement.

The MOTO Z9 has a nice slider design which hosts a phone offering GPS functionality through AT&T’s AT&T Navigator for finding your way around town. It supports AT&T’s 3G wireless service around the country as well to let you send live one-way video and audio from one user to another using a similarly compatible AT&T Wireless mobile.

T-Mobile customers in European markets will later this year be able to exclusively get their hands on a rather sweet new Nokia mobile. It is called the Nokia 6650 and you can expect it during the third quarter of 2008.

The Nokia 6650 is designed to offer up access to several different wireless features, including integrated GPS and FM radio. It sports a 2.2-inch QVGA color display and high speed HSDPA data connectivity. There are also dedicated keys for the built-in media player.

Sprint is ready to bust some balls in the cellular phone industry by unveiling today a all you can eat plan to cover about every mobile need you’ll have. It is called the Sprint Simply Everything plan and it will run you about $100 a month.

LG Electronics is showing off this week a number of interest cell phones for consumers. One which seems to be getting a lot of attention in particular is the upcoming LG-KF700, which will be available perhaps sometime this year in the United States after first hitting Europe.

The LG-KF700 offers up three separate input methods - three-inch touchscreen display, alpha-numeric keypad and a scroll dial. The latter is interesting in that it lets you scroll through six user-selected features by controlling a virtual dial on screen. It is also a media strong horse, offering MP3/MP4 playback and a three-megapixel camera, among other features.

Motorola is showing off this week a number of new mobile handsets for consumers, including one which is compatible with both cellular and Wi-Fi networks. This latter model is known as the Motorola MOTO Z6w and it should be available in the second quarter of this year.

Motorola, besides showcasing the MOTO Z6w, was also announcing two new W series phones which the company says focus on “value and quality.” This is in addition to further previews of some more recently announced models such as the ROKR E8 and MOTO 10.
